Uncle Wong Kitchen Mt Barker
Edible but not enjoyable. Saw sweet and sour pork on the menu, asked if they could do sweet and sour chicken. They said not. Either they had no chicken or I think more likely it was pre-made already, and after tasting the sweet and sour pork certainly did not taste fresh. Very small pieces of what was presumably pork covered in hard batter that dominated. No contrast of sweet and sour just bland old tasting sauce. I can make a very good sweet and sour dish and it only takes 5 minutes so why couldn’t they? Fried rice was average. Fried squid was below average and the tofu was not good. If I made those dishes at home like that I’d throw it in the bin rather than serve it to my family. I don’t understand how someone could take pride in sending out food like that.I won’t return or recommend. 2 stars because it was edible, just, and not quite bad enough to send back to the kitchen.

Really bad quality chicken. I ate here last night and just ordered the crispy lemon chicken, on the menu it was listed as $17.90 but I was charged $18.90, pretty expensive as it is. The texture and flavour in no way resembled chicken. It was fatty and very chewy. I’m almost convinced they served me pork belly and called it chicken. Insanely disappointing for a dish that cost so much. I’ve been here twice and been really disappointed with the food both times

Ordered the crispy chicken wontons. $10 for 5 small burnt wonton that had no filling at all. Tiny amount of food for the price. Definitely wouldn't recommend

Uncle Wong Kitchen Mt Barker
Thank goodness my wife recalls this place when we were in Foodland. Without any regrets, they are THE best asian food around the Hills. Everything has its own unique flavour and furthermore right for the price too. Great service and very friendly staff members even when its busy. And by the way, we've got two bowls of rice compliments from the front of house, I insisted on paying but they were too kind to accept payment. A big thank you to you! Definitely a place to go and highly recommended.

Love the laksa here. They use Sarawak Laksa paste so it tastes different but yummier than other laksa in South Australia.

We ordered multiple items which were delivered.Delivery was very well packed and served. Was still hot on arrival, and great care was taken to avoid spillage etc.Meals were all very basic. Seafood laksa looked fabulous and had great potential, but was just a little bland. Lemon chicken, individual elements were very generous, but actual chicken was only just cooked, leaving it slightly pink with an undercooked taste.Overall, the meals looked great and had all the appealing elements. They just fell short of flavour.

Nice asian takeaway in mt barker, near foodland. Reasonable amount of menu items and friendly service. Food came out quickly and was fresh and tasty. Worthwhile checking out.

Uncle Wong Kitchen Mt Barker
We decided to give it a go for a special they were running at the time and now we've been several times! Honey glazed pork and sweet n sour pork are so good. Staff are nice and helpful. Prices are fairly standard for the type of food. Not a huge menu but that's not a bad thing.
