Discovery Parks - Jindabyne

Second time staying in Jindabyne, both times I've stayed at Discovery Parks. People in reception always very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Check in is a breeze- even if you arrive after hours. You get very clear email instructions about the check in process prior to arrival and they send you a text message with instructions on how to access your key if you arrive after the office closes. This caravan park is a little out of the main town area, which I personally prefer. It's easier to access the supermarket and town shops if you have a car but if you enjoy walking, it only took me about half an hour to walk to town. The walk is along the edge of Lake Jindabyne so it is lovely! We stayed in one of their newer cabins as there was no access to campsites due to the high water levels in the river. I did see some new powered sites set up higher along the lake shore. Hopefully these will be operational by the time we go back! Sites looked a generous size too.As a side note, best to bring your wallet with actual bank cards with you. If you're like me and pay with your phone most of the time, you may get stuck as I did one day. Some of the establishments electronic pay options were sometimes down so were only dealing with cash.

We were looking forward to staying here with friends. We intended to book a caravan site and our friends were booking a cabin. They went on to book the cabin after checking the list of available" accommodation and there being a list including powered sites available for the dates

We had a luxury cabin and it was very nice and clean. Pretty small though and very tight car parking.The bunks were hard but the queen bed was pretty good.The amenities were clean but a few out of order. The showers fluctuated in temperature making difficult to use.Good access to the road to Thredbo and Charlottes Pass.

Absolutely perfect place to stay with your family. It is right on the lake and the cabin we got was very clean and big. I stayed an extra night just because I loved the place.

After having difficulty booking a cabin online, I arrived at the reception at 17:02 (they close at 17:00). The door of reception was open so I opened it and a member of staff came to the door and told me they were closed. I tried to explain the issues I had had with online booking and also that I was a G'Day member and so was keen to stay at Discovery Jindabyne but was told there was nothing they could do. The 1 star is purely for the recommendation I was given to try the nearby NRMA Holiday Park which was excellent.

This park is definitely NOT family orientated. If you coming with kids under 14 yr of age, you won’t be allowed to use spa and sauna with kids after a good day skiing.All guests are being kept asked by random staff if they are staying in resort and allowed to use the facilities. Get F…. We pay money to come and enjoy great family time without being harassed. If you have management problems or have people entering the resort from street to use the facilities, deal with it some other way to let your guests enjoy their stay.

Easy to book online and also checking in on arrival. Staff professional and friendly. Cabin was very clean and maintained well with lovely view over the water. Had a relaxing stay. Park looks well maintained and is about 2kms out of town in a lovely location.

Couldn’t fault the accomodation. We stayed in Room 73 which is one of their newer cabins. It has everything you need, it was clean and comfortable all around. However it is located at the back of the park away from the lake and playground which was the only down side.

Stayed here for a work trip in a Superior cabin for a about 3 nights in May 2022 arriving after hours,Easy check in and out process, the cabin was well appointed,, clean and warm and did the job nicely. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at the family sweet cabin with three young children. It was nice, nothing more, nothing less. Our bed was comfortable, and the bunk beds were good for the kids, but they couldn't sleep on top because there is no safe support. There was a spa at the bathtub as well as a small kitchen. Pretty basic.Especially the playground for kids and the shared areas need renovation (smelled really bad). Also no soap or shampoo at the bathub, again - very very basic.Quite expansive for what you get, very basic cabins.
