Purchased their product off a friend as they decided on something else. We needed more product so went to them and purchased exactly the same product and paid $500 freight to bring it up from Melbourne so it would all match.Received the product and everything was in order.The paver started laying and the French pave Travertine (12mm) just started breaking away in his hands. Very cheap product, and definitely a bad batch as the other first lot are fine.Called and spoke to the manager (Steve) and we agreed I would call at the end of the job with how many square metres we lost. (He originally offered me 10 square metres free but I pay for freight again or 5 square metres refund. I was concerned we were already at 5-6 square metres lost and we were not even a 1/3 of the way through the job!) red flag….A few weeks later I did this and he agreed to refund 10 square metres (it was more like 12-13 lost but I was happy with the compromise) as we had to fill the job with the older (better) product as freight would have been $500 to us (again) as he was not willing to cover it. We decided to hold off on the bottom level…Few weeks later I still had not heard anything so I called the office and apparently they had emailed me with a bank details request. I never received it. They ‘re-forwarded it’ even though it was a new email… and guess what? The manager Steve has now decided he’s only reimbursing 5 square metres… didn’t call me… didn’t honour our discussion and agreed amount of 10 square metres… admitted he had said he would but would not honour it. Now he is saying that after consulting his notes, he was only willing to do 5 square metres. Very dishonest.Then when he refunds he does it as $10 less a square metre then I paid!All in all a very dishonest person to work with. Pretends he’s all above board and here for the customer but when it comes down to it… really not. After reading other bad reviews I’m just lucky I got anything back at all as he will obviously do the dodgy.Definitely not the best stone or service but if you want cheaper then take the risk I guess.Ps. Three more pavers have cracked since being laid and they don’t have heavy foot traffic… don’t recommend this product. The sad thing is we now have 25 odd square metres of decent stuff but I’m too scared to match it with their product again to finish the job.REPLY TO THE COMPANIES RESPONSE:Absolute lies. As I said very dishonest. The stone we purchased was all from them in Doveton and I they have both purchase receipts on file as we need to find the exact stone to match and have emails to prove. As explained, the first batch was great. Second batch was obviously faulty.It was the promise over the phone multiple times, then deciding to offer half what he agreed to and then not even calling to say he was in fact NOT refunding the agreed amount but pretending he had sent an email and now saying in his reply that they had said 5 square metres all along.Also noticed they have not acknowledged that they refunded the incorrect amount at $10 less per square metre than I paid. All in all would not trust them.

Thanks to Dave I got the correct stone for my project. He spent a lot of time with me explaining the difference between Harkaway Bluestone and Chinese Bluestone and which one would be best for tiling my swimming pool......Well I've waited 4 months to make sure the info he gave me was correct about the Harkaway Bluestone NOT rusting compared to Chinese Bluestone which does rust.... He was right, my swimming pool paving looks fantastic.A BIG thanks to Dave the salesman and to Steve Taylor the installer who they recommended…..back again and got some more.

Your bluestone pavers were the perfect product I was after at a price consistent with the end purpose! Pictures online were great and my visit to the store verified that the only flaws in your display were cat's eyes and ant trails!Your driver loaded them quick smart so I was impressed until it came time to lay them a couple of weeks later at which time I found 40% of the tiles had deep gouge marks from letting go in the grinding process! Normally Ok as one side is typically fine but in this instance all the tiles were gouged on both sides!Spent a few hours grinding out the gouging so not quite the bargain I thought I had!Thanks anyway as you get what you pay for!

The team at Stone and Slate were easy to deal with , they suppliedgreat quality stone with some custom bullnose sizes , pricing was competitive and they kept their word on time frames for delivery .Very happy !!!

I ordered tile and paid thousands of dollars in advance as i was assured of a quick delivery. when no delivery was forthcoming and after many follow ups over many days and multiple excuses, i was told that they didn't actually have most of the tile and it had to be ordered and would receive in a few months.These extensive delays meant we lost the contractor that was to do the installation which dramatically set our project back and at great cost. I asked for my money back and received an email saying that it would be done within a month. I complained and when i asked for the name of the manager, i was told that they didn't give out names but i could speak to Steven. No apologies and got the run around for almost 2 weeks, numerous excuses as to why they couldn't refund, dozens of promises for return phone calls. Finally got in contact with the Police fraud department and consumer affairs for advise and assistance and only after threatening Stone and Slate discounts did i get a refund. Have never been treated with such disrespect and cant imagine how these people have stayed in business.Absolutely disgusting, abusive and unethical company to deal with.Christopher -Adelaide

Super helpful and friendly staff made for an easy purchase when ordering from interstate. S&S Discounts helped with organising freight and were happy to send photos of the products beforehand. Very happy with the quality of the travertine tiles we ordered. Definitely recommend!

Really helpful staff. Loved the travertine and at a good price. Very varied silver and it included some beautiful brown quartz in some tiles. Suited our house perfectly.

Not great , product and customer services. We deliberately ordered 18% more than needed for a small job, got sent all the unusable rubbish at bottom of crate and still not close to enough. Of course they still want to chrage us for the balance!!. ... Very Poor..

Glenn & the whole team really looked after us; friendly & professional. We will definitely go back for our next natural stone project.
