Beautiful place! From the balcony you can see the océan. Owners are friendly. Rooms are clean. Place very relax.

Myself and my girlfriend spent 4 nights here and it was brilliant. Very relaxed atmosphere and people were respectful of the rules. TV room was fantastic, we watch a couple of movies with other people in there of an evening. We spent quite a lot of time by the pool and playing table tennis when we weren't in Port Macquarie. Brilliant YHA and superb staff. Thank you!

Staff asked what time we’d be arriving at the property and we informed them with plenty of notice the time which was well within reception hours. The staff member was not there and we had to wait for them to return.Very dirty. Our shared bathroom was cleaned once in our 6 night stay. It was quite frankly filthy. The shower was also tiny and not much room to wash.The room was advertised as a double or twin room and we requested a double 4 months before arrival at the point of booking. The day before our arrival we were told they do not have any double rooms on site - not sure why this was advertised.The bedroom was very hot - no aircon and we were provided a fan that was absolutely useless. The pillows were depleted and lumpy. We actually dreaded coming back to the accommodation each night and stayed out for as long as we could.This is student accommodation so filled with young people who are noisy in the evenings and inconsiderate when cleaning up after themselves in the kitchen. Having said this, there was no anti-bacterial spray available to clean up after yourself which added to the issue.There is also a kindergarten situated right next door which was noisy every morning.The students also had a bad sense of personal hygiene and in all communal areas there was a foul smell of body odour which was not pleasant.You are provided with one knife, fork, spoon, plate and bowl per person and a small locker/space in the fridge for the duration of your stay.The wifi was terrible. Very slow when working but intermittent most of the time. I find it hard to believe students manage to do their work using this.This place has also not paid our 100AUD deposit back and it’s been 3 weeks of chasing!! Receptionists are not getting back to me. Do not trust this place.

After 2 months in Australia this was the nicest hostel we’ve stayed in!Clean bathrooms and a super clean kitchen with every utensil you could ever want (even had wine glasses, egg cups, chopsticks, etc). Nice lounge area, Fantastic location and decent wifi!100% would recommend.

Nice staff, clean room, shared bath. Kitchen can be busy and I definitely washed dishes before using them, but it is a YHA so quite a few younger clientele. No issues with noise and attached to the dive shop about 30 seconds to the beach, what more could you want?

Stayed here for 7 months. A nice cozy place to stay and make new friends. Perfect for students in RMIT and Melbourne Uni with easy access to uni and close by markets

Backpackers. Appalling signage but half decent hostel. Communal room looked pretty comfy. Absolute nutter in the room next door caused a bit of a scene. Not sure what the 9.30 checkout was all about

Amazing hostel! Clean bathrooms, cool building and large enough rooms. You can walk to the beach in like 3mn. Great value :)

A hidden paradise. So relaxing. The views are tremendous. The service was so nice also. Clean and tidy. We went during autumn but id say summer here is unreal. The road upto the hostel and very bumpy so mind your car
