Kuranda Terminal
We unfortunately had a lot of wet weather during our stay here.On the day when we showed up, it was quite foggy. At first we were apprehensive but were quite surprised when we finally got on our way. We got some fantastic looking photos, and the views were still just as stunning, if not more. It was a sort of darker, more eerie rainforest that we saw on the way up, the green of the forest breaking out occasionally from amongst the dense grey fog and disappearing again the higher we climbed.Obviously some of the views would have been better if there wasn't fog blocking the way such as the waterfall at baron falls, but what could this company really do about that ey? We still managed to get a good view of the waterfall in the end, just a little foggier then usual.Overall we had a ball, and would highly recommend the Skyrail, in sun or fog!

Kuranda Terminal
Skyrail experience outside of cairns that can also incorporate a rail ride if you wish. Beautiful scenic views can be seen from this ride as it takes you up to the township of kuranda. You can see all of the coast line, views of cairns, Barron falls and of course the Forrest as you travel over it. Cost is around $85 plus more if you do the rail journey, take a glass bottomed carriage, or purchase the photos taken along the way. Worth it if you have never done it, or if you are unlikely to do it again.

Had a Fabulous time at the Rainforest Station with all the Animals and the Army Duck ride!! They have a lovely restaurant and were very busy and everything was tranquil and perfect untill this english woman in her fifties started yelling at all the staff there!! I just wanted to get out of the place!! I cannot believe how this person still has a job!! You do not speak to people like that ever!! They said she is the manager!! OMG nasty!!

Awesome. We did train first, skyrail last. Stops along way were worthwhile. They have you share cars with others, which is a bummer, but we met cool people.

Amazing, the views are wonderful but I couldn't enjoy the tour by train because of the bad weather in last days. Be prepared if you want to take a good photos, a few spots are so fast, like Barren falls.

Excellent skyrail experience into Red Peak station! We took a guided tour with a park ranger. Wow! Really learned so much listening to him. So lovely and down to earth, and so informative. We saw a 400 year old tree, a tree that was being taken over by other trees, we also learned about animals who live in the forest. There are kangaroos that climb trees, and snakes who eat kangaroos, and the largest roaches in the world here too! Eeekkk! Thankfully we didn’t run into any snakes! The forest was a real beauty to be in the presence of. So fresh and so lush. The air was so pure you really feel renewed. The ranger also spoke about the traditional land owners; the Jebadhia people (may not be spelling that correctly). But they have been on this rainforest land for 40,000 years. How amazing is that?! The rainforest is very important to their dreamtime. The rainforest is also part of their world of survival, providing them food, tools to process food, creation of weapons, and even medication. They pass down techniques of survival throughout each generation so that it not forgotten. They work with the environment and animal in harmony, respecting the land and loving it. Such a wonderful educational afternoon. And once you head back to the skyrail deck there is a story with information to learn. For instance, this rainforest was the inspiration for all the rainforest scenes in the movie Avatar. Wowee! Also this rainforest is the oldest rainforest in the world! Anyway, really recommend you to come here and see for yourselves too! You won’t be disappointed!

Rainforest Skyrail Mid-Station
Superb place. Its a must do things. The skyrail is a wonderful experience. The whole expanse of beautiful rainforests can be seen. Its a scenic ride which covers the different points for sight seeing.First you have to go to Kuranda. See the local market, eat at frogg’s and then head to the skyrail. Embark on the beautiful journey. Its a delight to watch the huge green rainforests.

Great location. Definitely worth getting off and exploring. If you can wait for a ranger guided tour it is well worth the wait. Our guide was a local from the area and had a wealth of knowledge. He was also very entertaining. The tour ran for about 20 minutes.

Kuranda tour is one of the must do tours.. It’s worth the money only if you do Army duck tours and Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience..If you’re a couple and want to have a special experience, then do take the diamond cabin for cable ride.. It costs extra, but worth the money.I highly recommend that you take the earliest your available , so that you get enough time to explore the Kuranda village. Also, if you’re a vegan or vegetarian, please keep some backup food for you, in case you don’t find any vegan food up in the village.
