Mount Oberon Summit
The views are Spectacular! It's about a 6.7 km hike to the viewpoint, so be aware that water is essential especially on the hot day we went. Also being in hiking shape will help as it is a consistent uphill to the very top. Even if struggling to make to the top, the end results are totally worth the exhaustion. Truly extraordinary to stand on top looking out to the ocean and Squeaky Beach!

It was drizzling when we walked the track but luckily the sky cleared just as we ascended the steps. The climb up was not difficult but the irregular steps would have make the climb up a bit more difficult if the weather were wet. The views were breathtaking but the space up there was tight so don't come too late else it gets too crowded.

We have visited Wilson Promontory National Park on King's birthday long weekend. We were 10 people, went to Mt. Oberon. It took 8km to and fro hiking and then had reach to the point. There is no doubt that it was worth hiking over uneven boulders and terrain. You would get one rest room common for all, not at all maintained. Must carry water bottle, snacks etc because there was no food counter found. Car parking was enough available. It's a must watch spot if you stay in Melbourne.

The walk to the summit is tiring for beginners but well worth the amazing views from the top. Highly recommend.

I had a road trip from Melbourne City to Mount Oberon and had a good hike there in the afternoon. It's 2hrs 30mins drive, and about 1 hour hiking frim carpark to the peak of the mount. While driving to the mount, we took a break and fuel up our car at BP Station, Fish Creek, about ~35km away from Mount Oberon. We park our car at Telegraph Saddle Carpark, and start hiking. The hiking journey was about ~3km (~6km in total for two-ways) and the view at the top was stunning. The carpark could be very full and difficult to park. Dont forget to wear proper clothing according to the weather season, and bring your drinking water and/or snack sufficiently. It's also free admission.

Its an easy to moderate hike of 1.15 hrs. Through out the way there are many benches where you could also take a break. I saw many aged persons also doing it. It's not that difficult. Even my pregnant wife of 16 weeks was able to do it. So, don't miss one of the best views at the Wilsons Prom at the top of the summit. It's worth it.Some pointers, bring a bottle of water (at least 500ml) per person and some snacks for the top.P.S: There is a side spot just below the summit which offers better views and is less crowded when on the top.

Amazing views from the summit, best time is sunset on a clear afternoon, good leg burner on the walk up but well worth it, took around 40min

Wow...just wow. Best views on a sunny day! Steep but good track to walk on & steps at the top have a rail which is a bonus to get you up the last 200m or so.
