Goughs Bay Caravan Park

Excellent accommodation for Bendigo Legion Angling Club on our weekend trip for 21 anglers. Tom and Charlotte are excellent hosts with top quality pizza, fish and chip, and burgers cooked when ordered on Friday and Saturday night. Thanks for our hosts offering competition prizes without being asked and allowing late check out when organized. Facilities

Clean, very friendly hosts, hot shower, everything’s walking distance, very friendly people, lots of friendly dogs.Just a stone’s throw away from the boat ramp and the lake, safe and good walks for dogs and humans.The Red Fin is a treat, bring your own alcohol, bring your mates, great Friday treat to be had. No wifi but plenty of time for nature. Your dog will thank you too.

Lovely place with very friendly operators in Tom and Charlotte making us feel at ease and honorary locals right from the start and in my book, that is gold.Nice cafe too.Highly recommend.

Absolutely wonderful caravan park. We go to a lot of places, this has to be one of the best. The powered camp site was wonderfully situated. I see someone else has complained about other campers who are loud - there were some people having a nice time later at night, but they were not loud or offensive. Only other thing to note was the park is across the road from the lake - it is only a short walk but before we visited I did think the park was waterfront. However, I wouldn't let that deter you because it is only a short walk from the lake and when the water level rises a bit more you would be very close indeed. Quiet and peaceful. And this park is dog friendly! All the dogs were wonderfully behaved, everyone was very conscious of their own animals. I could not recommend this park more.

Great location and friendly owners. The campsite is dog friendly and there is an open area opposite the camp sites where dogs can have a run and swim. There are also plenty of dirt roads and tracks behind the camp ground to do some mountain biking. Facilities are a bit old, but otherwise kept clean and in good working order. The Cafe on-site does good food and coffee. Will definitely come back.

How beautiful and serene and chilled out.We had such a great time there.The amenities could do with a bit of an update, but the park and people are spot on.

Warning - if you get Cabin 3 don’t accept the cabin. Very old and in poor condition. The musty smell is terrible and will not go no matter how much glen 20 and airing out you do. It’s not fit for use and I would not stay there for free. Note they did give us a refund as we were not able to use the room.

I give this place 5 stars! While the condition of the park itself may only warrant 3 stars, Yummie went out of his way to accommodate us (with no prior booking), even drive us around the place and down to the boat ramps etc!!! The location is brilliant too! I highly recommend coming here!!
