Barry proved to be the kind of mechanic I have been avoiding for. Went to him to check my car for the squeaky sound it was making. He assured me it was the belt. Asked to him to check the brakes as well for which he charged extra. Claimed the brakes are fine, changed my belt and let me go. I came back after 5 minutes to tell him the squeaking is still there. It turned out to be the brakes. Decided not to go to him anymore due to negligence, which he did not accept kindly. He refused to provide me with a receipt for the change of belt. He charged me cash on the day claiming his eftpos machine is not working. Was supposed to send me the receipt on my email. After two ignored SMS I have sent him he sent me an outstanding invoice trying to charge me again. It has been two months of begging and going through Victoria Consumers Affair just so I can get the receipt I deserve by law.

Went to see Barry for a second opinion after a larger company quoted me for a fair amount of work needed. He went through all the items on the list & more. Only half of the items found by the other company needed attention. Have to say he is a very honest operator & went through all the items with me. I will be taking both of my cars there from now on.

Excellent work. Have had a few things done here. Impressed with the price and of course quality of work: he can really diagnose the issues when other mechanics can't.

I called up to ask if I can bring my car in to diagnose an issue, and within a 5 minute call the guy I spoke to told me basically the exact issue, different reparation options and how much it would cost, plus a very thorough explanation.They also did my roadworthy a few years ago and it was such a fast and smooth process, plus some extra minor things (like headlight bulb etc) for free.I won't go anywhere else.
