Blacklisted, very disappointed experience, ordinary but expensive food, bad service and super slow.We spent more than $80 per person and waited more than half hour for the chief recommended dish also the first and the most expensive >$250 which didn’t taste good, very ordinary ingredients with like 70% potato, wasn’t properly cooked and hard to chew.Another cold dish was supposed to be served much earlier, but they even forgot to include it in the order and they said ok every time we asked for it until they realised it wasn’t included at all. When they said ok, they did nothing and checked nothing, just walked away.Dumplings were good tho.

Really nice Northeastern Chinese food! Loved the decor. Waitress was friendly and service was quick. No lines for us, in fact it was quiet. Portion sizes were good and prices were reasonable. Spent $180+ on 8 dishes, 3 heaped bowls of rice, 3 soft drinks and a LARGE bottle of Harbin beer which was refreshing on a hot sunny day. Each dish was tasty and presented nicely. Minus the 1 star only because no one’s cooking can compare to hubby’s northeastern homemade food made with love at home (I may be bias!) LOL

I loved the decor and customer service. It was a treat as it’s the first time I had witnessed a hot pot in action on the table. Luckily we had company who could speak the lingo and could order the different dishes. This made it another first - trying food I have never had before. The Tofu we had reminded me of panacotta and the steamed egg of custard.Although we were in Sydney, it felt like we were in a different country.Sadly on the day much to many being disappointed, there was no green tea but we were offered hot water.

Brought my in-laws (Korean) to try my hometown's taste for the CNY eve. They loved the sweet and sour pork fillet(老式锅包肉), braised ribbonfish and the dumplings. We were impressed by the inner decors that put on a super uniquely northeast Chinese character, but the old-style utensils made my in-laws worry about the hygiene though (there's a bit of rust came off the bowl). The staff were nice and responsive. One old lady offered us a take-away bag which was too cute!!

Food here is decent and huge varieties to choose from. However, the food serving’s a bit slow. Wish they had served all the dishes at once and not serve the fish when I was halfway full eating the fried enoki mushroom and noodles. The food portion is big, recommended to share if you wanna try more varieties.

Big portions, authentic and value for money. They have rooms you can book too, which makes it more private/better for large groups.

A very disappointed experience at this restaurant! My friend went in around 6 to reserve a table. The rest of us arrived at 6.30 sharp. In between the lady owner had been pushed our friend several times to order without the whole group showed up. Fine! We ordered! But after the whole dishes came up around 7, it became even worse. We got checked twice “do you need a take away ?” by waiters while we are still having our dinner! We got the underline was that- you guys should leave now! BUT, we are still not finished yet!!! Excuse Me?!Then we up to desert time. We ordered the sweet potatos chips. The lady owner refused to take our order because “the kitchen was too busy to make this dish, it requires 40mins waiting time” ?! And the next round of customers are waiting for our table!(That’s the main reason!)Regardless, we are happy to wait for the dish. Eventually it only took them 15mins to served one.In general, the dish was good taste. But the way that lady treated us is not acceptable!!!Will never come back to this anymore! Not suggesting anyone to try either.

We recently have a late lunch at this relatively new restaurant to try their China north-eastern dishes. We ordered their signature crispy pork fillet (guo pau rou), stir-fried cauliflower and braised beef tendons with shallots. They're quite good dishes, especially the pork fillets and the beef tendons while the cauliflowers are just average dish. On a second visit, we also ordered other dishes like fried sauerkreut pork dumplings, stir-fried veggie with egg, stir-fried vermicelli with pickled cabbage and braised eggplant with beef tendons. They're all not bad but also not great, just average dishes with unique taste from the regionThe ambience and decor of the places are good and the menu prices are reasonable. However, I have big problem with the service from floor-staff. First, they have limited English understanding but luckily the order system using the tablet has English description for all menu items. Secondly, their services are quite rude since they're trying to rush-out our order and our payment of the bill. I understand that it was close to their closing time but there're other 4 tables also which were still having their lunch but they kept coming to remind us to pay our bill quickly. Thirdly, they have 3% credit-card surcharge policy which is an outright robbery and a blatant attempt to force customers paying with cash to avoid paying tax.As much as I enjoyed their food, this place is hard to be on my favourite place list.

Very delicious restaurant serving authentic Northern Chinese cuisines. The menu has a large variety with plenty of very unique and delicious dishes. The decor is quite unique and interesting replicating 90’s classical vibes - an interesting and fun experience backed by delicious food.
