Modern Indian restaurant

Everything is good but , Onion slices is not provided with Pani puri, the cost is also high charging 12 dollars per serve ,but this place is not providing onion for panipuri.

Meal had burnt bits that I had to spit out. Normally I like the quality but last night was a let down unfortunately

I have a feeling that most of the positive reviews here are not genuine.The taste wasn't bad but not the great either.We were expecting a bit reasonable quantity considering the price. But totally disappointed.Not visiting again for sure.

It was a good restaurant to get the take aways even during a late afternoon, something that works out for those who pass by Hume highway. Taste is good and I liked it. it's quite good considering that its comparitively a smaller town

We have been meaning to try Essence of Indya for ages! We’re now kicking ourselves, as we definitely should have tried the food here long before now! Absolutely amazing and authentic flavours. Having been to that part of the world before, I can honestly recommend this place to anyone who loves Indian cuisine!Definitely will be back!!!

Having just reviewed another Indian restaurant in NZ, I've realised I haven't left a review for this wonderful place. We've been eating here (primarily as takeaway) since the business opened up in the 2000s, and even had Peter cater for my 40th birthday (some time ago now).We've only ever experienced the friendliest service from Peter - always happy to chat with us - and great food; my partner and I have over 60 years of collective curry experience around the globe and outside of India this is some of the best and most consistent food we've ever had, especially when Peter is in the kitchen.We love this place, and look forward to good curry when we fly back home in a couple of weeks :)

My partner and I come here often for date nights when we want something authentic and delicious! Siri was our waiter tonight and she was wonderfully attentive. The food is always served quickly at a deliciously high standard every time. We're always highly satisfied with an experience that spices up our taste buds for the night!

I am sorry but you guys really have to look into pricing and serving. Total rip off for the quantity. Have been to almost all Indian restaurants but never seen such a less quantity for the price you are charging. Above all food was less than average too. Just look at the pics do you really think for that price the quantity is fine.

I recently had lunch at wodonga restaurant as now open Thurs & Fridays, had the chicken tikka nan wrap it was amazing so tasty & fresh
