Thank you to Lorraine for taking the time to speak to us. You are so passionate about the preservation of your language and culture for generations to come and we loved every minute of our time at Ganalili Centre! This is a brilliant place to stop and learn about Yindjibarndi culture. The interactive audiovisual displays are really informative and the illustrations drawn by community members are gorgeous. I would travel back through Roeburne just to stop in again.

The story boards of Aboriginal elders tell their stories. It's heart breaking and inspiring at the same time. Well worth a visit.

A beautiful gallery and cultural centre. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, generously sharing the stories from the Yindjibarndi people. Interactive displays allow visitors to then examine the stories at their own pace.Lovely artworks, t-shirts, scarves and other items available featuring work by local artists. It’s all not for profit, so all proceeds go back into the community. Definitely a must visit when in Roebourne, or even when in Karratha, it’s only a quick half hour drive!

Amazing artworks, well displayed. Highly informative displays and information on dreamtime and Aboriginal history in the area. Helpful, enthusiastic staff, thanks so much Samantha. Ourselves and our 3 children learnt so much. Fantastic interactive display screens.Absolutely worth a visit. Stayed for an hour, easily could stay longer. Green, landscaped park next door - fantastic for the children, or to stop for lunch.

So glad we stopped into the Ganalili Centre whilst visiting Roebourne a couple of weeks ago. Such a beautiful space, filled with informative display's rich in the local indigenous culture. The women we chatted with were so enthusiastic in their sharing of stories and explaining about the art work. It was very thought provoking and we were all quite emotional when we left. It is a must see in Roebourne.

Beautiful art exhibited and art for sale. Lots of great information leaflets are available about the area. Also available is nice coffee, cake and small meals. Worth having a look. The building has a lot of history and used to be the old Hotel

Finally went to Ganalili Centre after 18mo living in Karratha, and I'm so glad I did! Such a beautiful space with gorgeous displays of art and educational resources. Samantha taught me more about aboriginal history and culture than my 12 years of schooling. She is full of so much knowledge and passion for her indigenous roots, and with such a spectacular way of engaging and educating others, my friend and I could have spent the rest of the day listening to her stories.

What a fabulous little gem. Beautiful works of creativity and lovely video of elders telling their stories and history of there home.We would particularly like to thank Joan the receptionist for her fantastic hospitality and good will. She loves her town, it’s history and it’s community. It was a real pleasure to visit this unassuming centre. We would highly recommend travellers stop here it is worth it.

Ganalili centre in Roebourne is a tribute to all the strong women in the community. Part education centre, part gallery, part display and interactive panels and part incredible gift shop, Ganalili is a brilliant asset to not just Roebourne, but the entire City of Karratha. Do yourselves a favour and include Roebourne to your Northwest itinerary. And say hello to the personable and informative Sam Donaldson!
