We attended Coriole in the week leading up to new years - the location chosen due to our friends researching potential venues for their wedding. The view is absolutely stunning and atmosphere in the restaurant, beautiful. Our disappointment began when we were told that our group of 6 had to all choose the same Feed Me Menu option (either $80pp with optional $45pp wine pairing or $95pp with optional $55pp wine pairing). The majority of the group wanted the $95 option so that was chosen despite not everything on the menu being accessible to the entire table due to dietary restrictions & preferences. The next surprise was the serving size of the dishes. For a table of 6, 1 small plate of each starter was provided meaning each person got a bite" (i.e. 1 quarter of a beetroot). When we asked to see if there was more coming

My wife and I had lunch at Coriole today. We had the larger “Feed Me” menu and a couple of glasses of wine, ending with beautiful coffee. It was just a fantastic day. The staff are lovely and are very professional, and the food is to die for. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful experience. We can’t recommend Coriole’s highly enough. 6 stars !!

An excellent lunch venue. The offerings is concise but each plate sounds delicious. Seasonal produce, brilliantly cooked and presented. Excellent Coriole wine offering including current and aged releases. Any gaps in the list are filled by a small, well considered selection of other producers. Not my first visit and certainly not my last.!! well done.

An extremely bad experience!! First of all, there are only two choices regarding the dishes, the $80 per person set menu, and the $95 per person set menu. There were four of us, three of us wanted to choose the $80 per person set menu and one wanted to choose the $95 per person set menu. We were told we can't do that. Because the chef does not make food for one person, we must all order the same dishes, and then the chef will make the dishes for four people and we will distribute them ourselves. It was very hard to understand but we were forced to accept it. But I didn't expect that the portions of the dishes were so small that it was unbelievable! We only got two small slices of beef each! Two small slices! This is the first time I, spent 80 dollars for lunch and I was still hungry when it finished. After confirming with the manager the manager indicated that this is the normal portion size, one person, two small slices of beef ......

Superb wine and food experience. Dropped in for lunch on a Thursday. Very accommodating staff very eager to please. Menu is a choice of 5 or 7 course set, or share plates. The food is absolutely the best quality. For a relaxed dining experience on a sunny autumn's day, it was define. Staff were awesome, and we just soaked it up. Had a fabulous time!

My sister, fiance and I tried the $80pp feed me option. The service from start to finish was amazing, and the food was absolutely next level. 5 stars all round from me. The only thing I would say is don't expect to be full. There are many dishes to share, though the main course was still very small compared to your normal restaurant main. True fine dining and highly recommend.

This review is specifically about Coriole as a wedding venue. As a wedding photographer I have been to weddings at most of the wineries and venues around the state, and Coriole is right near the top when it comes to the location, the proximity of the vines to the reception, the areas for the ceremony and reception and the food and wine on offer. There are a few different areas for the ceremony, depending on whether you want everything nice and open with vines in the background, or perhaps a big old tree as your backdrop. There's even an excellent wet weather options, a totally seperate building that is an outstanding fall back option. After the ceremony is over there are a lot of varied photo locations all within walking distance, including magical vines (the afternoon sun is in the perfect spot), a white gravel road with some gorgeous dreamy backlight, some rustic buildings and lush, colourful gardens. No need to travel offsite.Coriole is perfectly positioned to take in an incredible sunset, this is not the case for many (most?) wineries as there are often hills and valleys that get in the way of watching the sun dip below the horizonThe lawn area is just incredible for an outdoor warm summer reception, while the restaurant is an excellent indoor option if you'd prefer.Staff are all super helpful and the food and wine is first rate.Highly recommended.

We decided last minute to visit Coriole without a reservation & we were so so lucky to be able to do so . We were greeted by friendly accomodating staff & we felt so welcomed. The food was divine along with the warm & friendly service. We then went wine tasting in their cellar door. Their wines are beautiful and they handle busy with class! A must when visiting Mclaren Vale.
