This company’s mantra is that they will maximise your return. I had a very simple tax structure that generated a meagre return, which frankly I could have done myself and saved $400. The statement was forwarded to me and approved. Imagine my surprise when I checked weeks later for my tiny windfall only to find the H&R agent had taken the unilateral action to cancel my return and replace with a revised one creating a significant deficit against me. I wasn’t even notified of this let alone consulted. If I wanted an awful tax return, I could do that myself and will never use these clowns again.
