Local TreasureMartin Place SydneyVisitors start planning your trip to Sydney for December and visit Martin Place.Lovely tree, lights and decorations. Locals love this venue. Walk from Wynyard train station George street exit. Combine this with seeing the David Jones Christmas windows (see pic). Grab dinner at one of the many restaurants two of our favourite are restaurant Felix ( bigger groups) and Bistro Papillon ( couples and solo’s). Pubs and bars a plenty around here too.Martin Place is multi layered with steps up to various levels and leads to Macquarie street. Easy access to tree at street level for prams and wheel chairs ect.No toilets ( hence the 4 stars).Other times of year worth a visit too.Lovely old post office here too.Love your local guide -M❤️Please like or follow me if helpful

It has so much potential, but way to much crime. Especially at night!

Martin Place is a public square in the heart of Sydney, Australia. It is located between Pitt Street, George Street, and Elizabeth Street, and it is home to a number of important landmarks, including the Sydney Cenotaph, the Queen Victoria Building, and the Sydney Town Hall.Martin Place is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the city, and it is also a great place to people-watch. The square is home to a number of cafes and restaurants, and it is also home to a number of events throughout the year.Visit the Sydney Cenotaph, a war memorial dedicated to the men and women who have served in the Australian armed forces.Take a walk through the Queen Victoria Building, a historic shopping arcade.Visit the Sydney Town Hall, a beautiful building that is home to the Sydney City Council.Relax in one of the many cafes and restaurants in Martin Place.Attend one of the many events that are held in Martin Place throughout the year.

My favourite place to visit during Xmas. Many things to do, see and enjoy. Better use public transport such as trains and light rail.

Very busy shopping area. Many premium brands. There is one fountain which produces Soap like foam and people love to spend some time playing.

The Christmas tree for 2022 was really lovely at Martin Place, it was a popular area on the day I went and lots of people were taking photos and looking at the tree with family and friends. Otherwise there is a nice set of neoclassical buildings and a great place to take a break in the city!

Martin Place
Martin Place a nice place to go for shopping, sit on the benches & listen to street singers, take a bite & regale the history of the place. How they built Sydney.. how the Britishers came & discovered this continent. The Challis House though beautiful from outside the lift is in a bad state where the flooring is so poor, hole in the ceiling GOSH☹️
