Lovely dinner. I had the Shroom Pizza, always a favourite. Also had a cocktail which was great, though sweeter than I expected. It came with caramel shards in the glass, which was nice, though had I have realised this, I wouldn’t have ordered it at the beginning of the meal.Will definitely be back in the near future.

This is a really nice venue. It is comfy and styled well. The staff are lovely and my overall experience was good.The food for me was okay. The charcuterie board had these big grisini -type crackers that were not very pleasant and one of the cuts of meat had a strange taste. I have had many starters like this in the past and this one just didn't interest me.The calamari entree was strange too. The taste wasn't right. The calamari tasted fresh, it was the crumb/coating that changed the taste, making it unpleasant. I couldn't finish it.The coffee was okay but too cold.I am mindful that places are short staffed and I need to be more forgiving. If you don't get a chance to treat yourself often, and funds are limited, then you expect a little bit more too.I should've tried the pizza instead!Sorry guys, I wish I could have rated you higher.

Great location and fit out this restaurant is super cool and the menu is awesome. But unfortunately our waiter was surly and rude. We had to ask multiple times to order drinks rather than him coming over and offering or asking. In fact after we were seated he did not come over for about 10 minutes we had to flag him down. The food and cocktails were delicious especially the pizza and flaming margarita but the staff were more concerned with talking and having fun amongst themselves rather than serving the customers. It was also freezing cold in the restaurant which detracted from the atmosphere. Enormous potential but did not deliver.

We came as a group of 4 on a cold night and we sat by the fire and it was just so cozy inside, it has a sort of “home-ly” vibe to it. I really enjoyed the playlist and that added to the atmosphere. Will need to come back in summer and sit under the fairy lights outside.The food was great, everyone enjoyed their different pastas but my unexpected highlight was the prawn pizza we shared, so good!

A working fireplace on a cold day, beautiful food. Staff was lovely and helpful.We had eggplant chips that were great, pizzas (I really loved the shroom and the pumpkin ones).Hint: parking can be a tricky in this area though.

Great atmosphere and well portioned and tasty dishes. Our seating was comfortable and roomy with good separation between the tables. Service was fast and efficient with genuine smiles and no shortage of staff, we didn't have to wait to get attention, someone was always hovering close by but not overbearing, just perfect. We had a very enjoyable dinner and evening.

We were keen for carbs to start off winter and Alphington Social did not disappoint.Our family enjoyed delicious thin crust pizzas cooked in their wood fired oven, and hearty and tasty pastas. Plus wood fired broccolini topped with Parmesan and crispy almonds, and a glass of the house wine.Great location with easy parking (unlike High Street Northcote!) and a fun, uncrowded space.

Great service and OH MY GOD the steak is amazing! And this may seem strange but the toilets in a place matter and they are spotless and modern but in keeping with the amazing older building. Can't recommend enough. Also the people next to us kept raving about how much they liked their meal.

Very interesting pizza toppings. I'd definitely recommend the Genovese it has pesto and pork sausage. The eggplant chips are a great side too. The local beer is top notch, Le Sirene Brewery. I'd definitely check out the different flavours.
