The staff are amazing, they're nice to strike up a conversation with and they'll willingly offer assistance. The store for the most part seems to be well-kept and organised. Although it would be nicer if some of their clothes were a few dollars cheaper - but hey, some of us have to pay rent, too.

I’m really disappointed at the store manager. Today, I went there with my two young aged kids. While I was waiting at the tilt, my 3 year old accidentally knocked over a frame which was randomly laying against the corner of a couch next to the counter. Unfortunately, the glass frame was broken, staff member called out the manager, then what I got from her word for word was : “ anything breaks in the store would be paid for.” I’m willing to pay $12 for that frame, but what upsets me was the following conversation. When I brought up the fact that frame was a Hazard to put so careless like that, someone could get hurt, hopefully, they would be mindful next time. However, what I got from the manager was:” the frame was there for 3 days, no one has broken it.” Since I have a crooked hand , so I couldn’t fix the frame to get the picture out. I asked the manager to help, then was told she couldn’t . Therefore, in the end I paid for the frame without taking it with me.What bothers me mostly, was the manager’s reaction and attitude towards the whole thing. I made intention to pay for it, since it was a good lesson to teach sons. But the words coming out from the manager was just hurtful and shocking.

On the Sunday just gone I went to my local donations store in which I was told what I had brought was “ fit for council collection “ and was “ long gone” a lot of which I was donating was possessions of my parents who not long had passed away. Many things like jewellery and clothes with tags and antiques. Such great quality things but this old man clearly couldn’t be bothered and had a stick up his...After balling my eyes out on the way home feeling incredibly flat and insulted I decided to go to The brotherhood of st Laurence at Knox after my Neice called and informed them of what had happened and the giant trailer load and car load I had.I couldn’t have made a better choice.I was greeted by two young men who was so incredibly appreciative of my donations. They kept assuring me everything was in great condition and couldn’t thank me enough for bringing it to them.I still have more to bring and the young man told me I can bring it when he is there next.These two men turned my day completely around for the better I could not speak higher about them. There is truly good people in this world who shine through the horrible. Those young men proved that.Thank you for your amazing customer service, appreciative nature and for treating my parents possessions with the greatest respect. I will be coming back here and recommending this store to everyone.

OMG!!!!!! WHAT A RIP OFF, $4.00 for a pair of second hand knitting needles!!!! I purchased a pair in mordilloc two days ago for 75cents!!!!!!

Decent range of books. Clothes often a bit overpriced for what they are.

Will not be donating or purchasing from here again.Approached by volunteer and told my son couldn’t play with the toy we were purchasing. He was sitting quietly playing with it while I scanned through childrens books. Manager explained volunteer gives her time for free and spends a lot of her week cleaning up after children play with toys. Could understand if my child was being rough or messing shelves. Don’t take your children to this store. They aren’t welcome. I was offended.

To management of BSL op shops-The inside downstairs knox store is one of the best stores I’ve been in, in a long time.Deserella (Des) is one of the kindest sales people I have ever met, she goes above and beyond to help. She genuinely loves being at work and doing her job!Des is an absolute asset to your company, whenever I see her she brightens up the Room with her contagious smile!Thank you for hiring her, well done knox teamThanksStephanie

I often drop off clothes here. The shop seems well organised and the stock changes a lot. It's usually quite busy and there's a good vibe. The staff are friendly and always make a point of thanking me for my donations, which I appreciate. The prices I've seen seem reasonable.

Same same diffierent store different charity. All these big brand name Op Shops need to stop using the internet for pricing and get their prices down to Kmart prices!! I can get cheaper things at Kmart, refunds are simple not unlike the salvo etc who put the bejesus in you. It was a nice stroll thru the store. Quite a few people there browsing. Staff look like they would rather be somewhere else. Big kudos and effort to the 'unpaid volunteers' cheers to you all.
