Much like others, I place great value on reviews when choosing a service provider. In this case, it was the volume of forty positive reviews that initially drew me to this accounting firm. However, I feel compelled to mention that these reviews seem somewhat outdated - with the most recent one penned three years ago.My experience, unfortunately, was far from satisfactory. Communication with Jane (the assistant) felt dismissive, and I found it perplexing when the initial quote of $1300 + GST unexpectedly rose to $1650 + GST. This was particularly confusing given that the revised quote excluded several tasks I had initially requested, such as the submission of BAS.Despite the confusing pricing, I was willing to continue the engagement, expecting superior customer service. Regrettably, Jane appeared to be reluctant and impatient when responding to my queries. This was particularly disconcerting as from the very beginning, I had emphasised our need for comprehensive guidance.When I made the decision to switch to another accounting firm - one offering unlimited support and transparent monthly fees - the communication from their end abruptly ceased. In contrast, their invoice had arrived swiftly and without delay, leading me to question their professionalism.Now, our new accountants face the unnecessary task of connecting with them, as they had registered their address with our company and named themselves as Settlor of our trust. I find it extremely disappointing that they ended our communication, leaving us in the dark about how to proceed with our new business structure.While I can't vouch for the authenticity of the other reviews, nor can I tell if the firm's standards have changed, I feel it's necessary to share my experience. If you're in search of an accounting firm dedicated to your success and offers transparent, reliable service, I would recommend exploring other options.
