Amazing animal shelter. Really work hard to give the animals that come into their care the best homes and opportunities for a happy and healthy life. Great friendly and knowledgeable staff, super helpful when we adopted our beautiful girl Gracie.

Can't speak highly enough of the staff and volunteers here. They do a fantastic job of keeping all the animals happy and healthy. Not only do they care for the basic well being of the animals but they also go to great lengths to provide enrichment for them. This is one shelter where the stress levels of the animals, and consequently the noise, is kept to a minimum. When an animal is adopted they take great care to ensure it goes to a home best suited to it.

Over 15 years my family has adopted 5 dogs from here - we currently still have 3 of them (in separate homes but we often have doggy play dates and they are often at their 'grandparents' for dog-sitting). It is always the Blue Cross rescue dogs with us in the garden or sitting by the pool - often while the dogs bought as puppies recline in airconditioned comfort indoors! I think a rescue dog somehow knows that they have been chosen and saved, and they seem to really appreciate their new lives. Rescue dogs provide such loving and loyal companionship. Thank you to the Blue Cross for taking in our dogs when they needed help, and for helping us with the adoption process. Hopefully we won't be looking for a new dog for a long time - but when that time comes, it will be from the Blue Cross. They are caring, professional and clearly take great care in placing their dogs in appropriate homes - which is something i think should be celebrated, not criticized.

Very clean and newly renovated shelter that came highly recommended by my vet because they take the time to review their animals and make sure they find appropriate homes. The staff were polite and answered emails and phone calls promptly.

incompetent staff, don't follow procedures when it comes to adoption. I was excited, finally found a cat that I was going to adopt, made arrangements to pick the cat up and bring it home. Only to find out via a website, the cat had been adopted out to another family. They didn't contact me, I had to contact them to question what had happened. SO NO APOLOGY IS GOOD ENOUGH ON HOW I FEEL. I don't believe this shelter will have my support ever, IT WAS A PTIFUL EXCUSE THEY GAVE ME, AND NOW MY DREAM CAT IS WITH SOMEONE ELSE.

Just adopted a cat from the society, was easy and everyone I dealt with was pleasant and positive.The website is very easy to navigate and the descriptions of the animals were accurate and informative. The facility is clean, well maintained and bright.Highly recommended

Some lovely people volunteering there, the cats and dogs waiting for adoption been taken cared well. Please adopt the animals instead of purchasing if possible, all these non profit organizations are counting on good wills and kind souls, you can be one.

They take Absolutely Amazing care of pets in need for my local area. Highly recommend if you love and care about animals - ADOPT A DOG! Its a heart-warming experience that money 100% can NOT buy..Selby approved! (woof-woof) 11/10.Much love to all the Staff & Animals there xx.
