Ascora

We have used Ascora as our project management system in our a civil company in the Queensland construction industry for the past 2.5 years.We tried many different systems before settling on Ascora and while none are an exact fit to our niche, we have found Ascora to be the best fit by far.Our jobs range from one-off small projects to months-long projects involving retention's and multiple progress claims.We send out our quotes from Ascora using templates we created from the basic ones provided and schedule the staff who also use the app to complete their time-sheets. All the job expenses, purchase orders and invoicing is also done in Ascora and the reports are great for all our back-costing of completed projects.We integrate with Xero and are also using Ascora reports to integrate with payroll and smartsheet.We have found the Ascora support team very responsive and while sometimes there is a little disconnect in understanding between us and the software devs, they are always willing to look at what we are trying to achieve and help us find a solution wherever possible.The software has changed over the time we have been using it with many upgrades being implemented and we're looking forward to seeing some of the planned upgrades roll out in the near future.

DO NOT USE THIS SYSTEM!Ascora is a poor system for any Construction Company that deals with multiple varied suppliers and sub-contractors in a multi-disciplinary construction environment. It may be suitable for a specialised contractor (plumber or electrician for example), but do not believe the lie that it is suitable for the Australian construction industry.For example, I had to notify Ascora that there was a thing called the 38-hour week in the building industry! Even now you rais basic principle of the industry and Ascora just wsh their hands and try to point out some complicated, click this, hide that open another window, way to get basic results/information.My company was talked into this system by Tradiepad who I feel looking back, were more interested in the fee they could extract then actually providing professional advice and a system suitable to our needs.During the training sessions I spent most of my time teaching them how to use the system because I had read the free online training.
