Orcas Taxis

After ordering a taxi on Thursday for 5.45 Friday night 31st March and waiting until 5.50 and no taxi, so phoned and got told didn’t know there was a booking? Had to rely on friends to take us to a celebration. Not impressed with this company. Never use again

As we caught the Cockle Train from Victor Harbour to Goolwa (last train of the day and no return) we had to get a taxi back to Victor Harbour. Whilst the taxi did take approx 40 minutes to arrive (which we were told by the operator it would be a 30 minute wait) the driver was super friendly and chatty. We asked about recommendations for dinner and he gave us about 5 different options. We ended up taking his advice and went to the Middleton Tavern and it was great. He also chatted about the local area and gave us some history. Didn't get his name, but thanks!

Good service, friendly driver and they didn’t take heaps of random roads. I would use this service again, if I require a taxi

Today I had one of your taxi drivers flip me off for being in the way, after I kindly moved out of the way whilst they had a passenger in the car. Very unimpressed by this completely unprofessional service. Would give zero stars if I could.

The owner Vicky discriminated me and my service dog that supports me for PTSD and anxiety. I offered them $30 extra so they can detail the car after and that I would wrap him in a blanket...Then she tells me we only allowed one dog in our car which is for a blind person if that's not discrimination I don't know what is.Will never use this company again.This is my reply to your statement.So if you want to actually look at the legislation it says service dogs come under people with disabilities, eg. PTSD anxiety depression even dogs detected low sugar levels, and yes seeing eye dogs but a service doesn't only mean just for blind people you have discriminated me regardless what you think. under the legislation act brought in in 1992.I have looked at your terms and conditions on your site and screenshot it at all it does not say in there that you don't take service dogs.Same as the pub can't refuse me entry with the dog neither can woolies or any other establishment. I think you need to learn the law before you start a business...You will be hearing from my lawyer.

Can’t speak highly enough of the excellent service provided in early December. Booking was confirmed by Orcas two days prior. Pick up (to and from the venue) was exactly on time, friendly service … totally professional.

Ben the driver was great super friendly and gave lots of good local tips for food etc Miles better than any city cab driver.

We had two very different experiences using this taxi service recently. One was on the way to a birthday and the other was on the way back.Whilst both were prompt and efficient the first driver was clearly unhappy and quite rude. Obviously didn’t want to be working that day, any attempts at being friendly were met with very curt cold responses, we got the message to shut up and say nothing. This was the exact opposite of our experience on the way back. We had a very friendly, American driver who really compensated for the first experience.

From dispatch to drivers, there's an excellent team at orcas taxis. If they can't get you there now, they'll get you there as soon as they can!
