Ice skating club

Appalling. I was planning to go but read a review saying that a patron was publicly humiliated by staff for asking for their child with allergies to be allowed to bring their own food. This seemed unlikely to me, so I phoned ahead. I have a daughter with anaphylaxis; life-threatening allergy to certain foods. She carries an epipen, but as long as she doesn't eat the wrong thing she is fine. This means that when going to a new place she brings a sandwich. I asked the staff I spoke to if this would be OK; they replied that it would not. When I asked why they absurdly replied that our food might trigger an allergic reaction in one of the other customers. In case it's not obvious - this is utterly ridiculous. I am not planning to feed my daughter's sandwiches to the other customers, and the ice rink sells food themselves. I have never before heard anyone suggest that our egg-free, nut-free sandwiches cannot be allowed into commercial premises on the grounds that they pose a health risk to others. I am incredibly glad that I called ahead to confirm that yes, the staff at this ice rink have been told to (illegally) discriminate against customers with allergies, so I could laugh at them over the phone instead of dealing with crying children after a long drive out to a special treat run by officious jerks. although it was fun for the first hour the skates cut my foot multiple times and when i asked for a different pair the surfer dude looking guy kept on giving me the same ones i had previously that had cut my foot and it just went back and forth like ten times.Personally i think all of it is overpriced especially the cheap tasting food, the hot dog i had tasted like they came out of a toilet and shoved back up someone’s bootayhole.i’m disgusted

The hire skates are rough and I always end up with blisters even with the right size as recommended by staff. However many memories have been made here and I love that they also play nostalgic music. I came here once when there was a live band playing in the centre of the rink and it was absolutely amazing.

So I went the other week....so disappointed. Staff was so rude, over priced. I wasn’t even aloud to drink a bottle of water without being told off. The place is so run down music was horrible, it was playing Katy Perry, which no one likes her. One of the staff smelt funny which needs to be fixed asap.But yeah..besides that it was a amazing experience! Xx

It's a shame for such an amazing Ice Arena that the staff have such a poor reputation for customer service. They have a rude manager and is also unfortunately an atrocious customer service provider. For anyone who is after a good time and a reputable customer service Macquarie Ice Arena or anywhere else but Norwest Ice Arena it is worth your time and petrol to go skating . Your good day doesn't have to be trashed by poor attitude and a rude manager.

Great place for fun (especially in hot summer school holidays)!Super friendly staff.Have other game facilities available.Better hospitality is needed, however you can still enjoy great food nearby.

Very dated, filthy dirty and falling apart around the seams.Party food was shocking, staff never smiled once.And if you are happy for your kids to play amongst the black mold and breath it in, then this place is for you, but please don't.
