The 3 of us had a great week with our campervan doing a loop of Tasmania. The van drove well and had no mechanical problems. The 2 hob stove and small fridge allowed us to prepare and cook our meals. As expected the sleeping arrangements are a little tight especially as the table top, which is meant to form part of the bed, didn't fit properly but we made do. And whoever takes the top bed has to be agile enough to get up there.Loved our experience and would book again!

Obviously a busy time for sales staff. We were there for over 30 mins looking at vans and not acknowledged by staff at all.

Very͏ happy.Sarah was very positive and assured and friendly. She created a great atmosphere for meetings and decision making. She is outgoing and also was very much across all the admin, follow up, consultation and process management. And she knew her stuff and negotiated very well.I would be confident and happy to deal with Sarah again in the future.

Direct Portable Buildings
It was a new experience for me and one I thought would not be difficult to navigate. I was wrong. The contract provided by the company I signed isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. As the building is built off sight, it is not covered by the Building association and Doug Doneman uses his friend builders licence and although this is legal, his friend is the person he refers you to to organise the foundations. The building work is second rate and your local handyman could do a better job and would probably have more pride in their work. I was told six weeks to build, it took seven months to get it on my land, so many excuses and delays. Everything was done cheap. When delivered, 31 faults were identified, only 17 were rectified. Things like internal doors not closing or locking. Kitchen cabinets measured incorrectly and sitting on window frame. Tiles on bathroom floor at different levels and and distance between tiles in consistent. When he made a mistake I had to pay for it otherwise he would withhold something from the build, such as a hot water system. The toilet was installed over a metal beam, which had to be cut to accommodate a pipe. So many many things wrong, he builds them how he wants to and how it is going to make the most money. If there is two ways to do things, the cheapest way is always chosen. I was to have vinyl wrap kitchen cabinet but this changed because laminate was cheaper and the new company only did two pac or laminate. So regardless of what my contract said, if I wanted two pac I would be paying for it, not even the difference in price between vinyl wrap and two pac was considered, he stated that vinyl wrap was an inferior product and that he didn’t use the company any longer. Electrician companies were changed throughout my build based on finances. When I spoke to a solicitor and the building association, they said the industry is full of cowboys wanting to make a quick buck. Well he certainly make some money out of me.I would recommend you go elsewhere, this company is unethical and immoral.

Goldstar Service and Repair
I recently purchased a 21ft maverick and the lead up to purchasing the van Brian from goldstar rv in old Reynella SA was helpful until I purchased then I had no contact no information regarding when it would be ready..I finally make the 10hr trip to adelaide and the hand over was disgusting! I was not shown how everything works I was basically shown where everything was in 5 min... nothing had been tested to be sure that it was ready to leave the yard.. I asked Brian if the diesel heater had been tested and was told yes but could not smell diesel at all in the tank.Upon leaving the yard I went to set up at a caravan park in adelaide and I could not get the diesel heater working I could not get the instant gas hot water system to ignite and my fresh water tanks leaking from the bungs .. I tried calling Brian numerous times and sent messages regarding my problems with no response what so ever..Once home I went through the van to find has ends of screws coming through the high gloss cabinetry a deep scratch on trim and a deep scratch in the vinyl flooring..I have again tried to contact Brian and still a week later waiting for a reply..I have finally got a response from Maria in service and warranty and I'm waiting to see if they will fix these issues ASAP..All in all I like the van but the after sales service is poor and if you are thinking about buying a goldstar I highly recommend you do not deal with Brian at all and make sure that you go through the van with a fine tooth comb before leaving the yard.Eddie the finance guy I could not recommend highly enough and if it wasn't for this legend I would still be trying to get a response from goldstar.. He was very helpful and is helping with my current issues. If goldstar rv come to the party and fix these issues I will most likely change my 1 star rating/review..I will update everyone with my progress as soon as I have heard from the goldstar rv team and find out what they are going to do with these problems..

Great staff, super obliging and quick - gave us extra blankets for the cold winter weather. Liked their 20c piece policy (no scratches smaller than will count). The van was super comfy and did the job! Only issue was the reverse parking camera didn’t work, and the 240v charger only worked when the van was plugged into a charging station - but that was a feature (not immediately obvious to us when booking) and not a bug. Would book again!

A great way to explore Tasmania but I would choose a different camper company next time. The sales staff were really pushy trying to get you sign up to the maximum insurance and squeeze every last dollar out of you.The camper had a broken front seat, the air conditioning system didn’t work and the table design to convert to a bed was a punish to manuver every morning and night. To top it off - they advised our $5k deposit would be returned within 4 days when we dropped the camper back, and it’s now 12 days later with no sign of it. Not happy at all.
