Aikido Yoshinkan is great school if you are interested in Aikido or just trying new martial art. Personally, it has a good balance between self defence, finiteness, discipline and fun.Dojo is operating in West End for more than 20 years and has classes for kids and adults. Family friendly environment, daily schedule (except Sunday) and monthly gradings will challenge beginners and seasoned martial arts practitioners alike. Aikido Yoshinkan Brisbane dojo has been a part of my life for over 2 years now. From the very beginning I was welcomed to learn the martial art from a true Master in Aikido, Sensei Mori Shihan, who shares his wealth of knowledge and a lifetime of training with his students. The techniques taught in the dojo are extraordinary and the fitness one can attain by participating is second to none. It is an honour to train and learn from Sensei and the many supportive black belts who attend the dojo :)

As a security officer, the bigger body size is definitely an advantage (I only weigh 73kg which is rather light compared to my colleagues,) I rely on the practical Aikido self defence techniques I have learnt whenever the skills of controlling aggressive patrons were required.Mori Sensei teaches us practical techniques (self defence) against punches, kicks and weapons which are absolutely effective. I seek his advise for some if scenarios" time to time for my work and he always instructs me how to use the techniques swiftly against any situations.Mori Sensei not only teaches physical techniques

I joined up not knowing what to expect, Its calm, relaxed and a great family atmosphere. my 10 year old daughter loves it too. I dont think id rather be anywhere else.

After discovering this hidden gem 10 years ago I’ve loved watching my older son grow up in this supportive and safe environment and learning such an amazing life skill. Now my youngest has started aikido with Griffin Aikido and it’s been amazingly helpful for him to learn a safe way to get his 7 year old energy out.Sensei Rob could not be more caring and supportive of his students. Also a little bit magic if the end of class meditation minutes are anything to go!All in all I can’t recommend Griffin Aikido enough.

One of the best and real Aikido dojos I've visited. The martial arts here is good, practical, and effective. Sensei Crom is a good teacher. I can't wait til we're allowed to train in the dojo again after this lockdown.

Great training with an incredibly experienced sensei focusing on very interesting aspect of aikido. It's a lovely dojo space with a relaxed vibe and the people who train here are incredibly friendly and warm - which is lucky, as it could have been otherwise a little intimidating being the only person without a black belt! No competitive rubbish, can just get in and train.

My children love it. Teaching was great and Crom Sensei is amazing with children. They enjoyed the flow of the lesson , the boxing bugs drill, the rolling and defense techniques they learnt. The last drill with the pencil was amazing and they practice it everyday which good for focus , mind, body structure , concentration and air speed. They are more than excited to come next week to Good Aikido.

I love training at this Dojo! Steve Seymour Sensei personifies the pursuit of excellence not only by inspiring his students, but through his own training and continued investigation. I feel safe here and have built some wonderful friendships with the other students who all support each other. Thank you for the opportunity to train in this enlightening environment.
