Absolutely wonderful dinner we had here. From the warm and cozy atmoshpere to the lovely and helpful staff, this place genuinely feels like home. The food was delicious (never had brussel sprouts so good!) and an impressive range of dishes was wonderful. Also shout out to the owner who sent all his staff home early and was doing the cleaning by himself. We will be back!

Not sure how this place made it to the Age Good Food Guide. The service definitely needs improving and quick. There was no explanation of the menu, they had enough waiting staff yet no one bothered to top of our waters like other restaurants do. We asked for more water never got anymore water so we keep stealing from the tray next to the kitchen.One of the waiters offered the table free drinks, we never got the free drinks whilst we waited over thirty minutes in between the pumpkin dish and the potato dish which should have been served together with the slow cooked pork ribs.If you are going to be classified as top food restaurant then you need to be one. I gave it two stars because mario's excellent customer service prior to the day booking plus the ribs.

Beautiful Intimate Atmosphere and funky surroundings! Love the wild records floating around! Food was incredible; the flavours, the aromas... and the wine matches... divine... We were served by the owner and the chef and they were just so pleasant to talk too and make the dining experience so much more welcoming! Have told all my friends about this Wine Bar, it's a must try!

Thank you Mario and staff for a fabulous NYE. The set menu was innovative and each course complimented the preceding plate.We found the staff to be so hospitable, nothing too much trouble and Mario respectfully worked the room.A great little local find!!

This is my favourite restaurant and bar in Melbourne. So welcoming. So delicious (every single seasonal menu). We have always brought a lot of energy, and they have always met us exactly where we are. After 9:30pm is cocktail hour and they have always welcomed our singalongs and crazy antics. We love every person here, staff and customer. Literally the best time you can have.

Lovely little place in Northcote, they are not just a wine bar but a perfect place for dinner! The restaurant ran out of a dish and kindly offered us delicious wagyu beef croquettes instead for our entrée. The serving sizes of the mains are generous too. We ordered both the ribs and the roasted pumpkin for two people and even though it was all delicious we couldn’t finish it.

After a year of driving past this beautiful homely wine bar, I finally decided to bite the bullet and make a booking. My partner and I arrived tonight to an incredibly warm welcome by all the team on tonight, all ensuring we had the best experience possible. Mario, the owner of the bar was so hospitable, checking on our table constantly and ensuring we had everything we needed. When the food came out we were blown away, each dish from the tasting menu was to die for and the chef actually brought each dish out to us himself - Thank you Shuva. We finished dinner up with a few beautiful cocktails and then ended up staying for about 30 minutes longer just chatting to Mario and the staff. I had a feeling the moment we walked in, that this would be a regular spot and tonight’s experience has cemented that for us. Can’t wait to see the Oh Loretta! team again. See you soon Mario!

Food and ambience but most importantly warmth and welcome. My new favourite place. Rare that we find a place that makes you feel instantly an old friend, feeds you with such care and skill and as an added bonus allowed our big old dogs to join us in the back outside area. All praise to the chef who made delicious and unpretentious food that was the best I’ve eaten in a wine bar or bistro for many months - such good value.
