I had an engine failure a very long way from home.We are from Sydney and were in the middle of our 7 week outbackcovid-19 escape.After studying all our options the only logical decision was to rebuild the engine in Longreach and I'm glad I did as it allowed us to finish our trip rather than putting the Landcruiser and the camper on a truck and sending it home.I'm a diesel mechanic and Peter was the only guy in town who would allow me to use his workshop.I spent 4 days on the car rebuilding the engine in his workshop and got to know him and his workers and I can tell you these guys are the nicest people you could ever hope to meet and I'm forever in his dept.Peter is a credit to the community of Longreach .We got home today (4/9/20) and the car is going great.Thanks again.Remember Pete, if you are ever in Sydney I have a bed for you mate, you've got my details.

I can't thank Peter & his boys enough.We were stuck in Longreach with a busted engine & Hirst Mechanical ordered a new one, replaced it & had is back on the road again. Peter even made sure we weren't stuck for wheeels, thanks to DOT56. Great Aussie spirit & hospitality.
