Golden Beach Dental Practice

I had an appointment which I was 5 minutes early it was at the same time as my uncle's as I was driving we said our names when we came in. Half hour later I asked how much longer the receptionists had put me down as a no show... not happy

I had a tooth extracted yesterday. It had 3 difficult roots, so involved surgery. Following Dr Han's instructions, I've no pain or problems.I have being going to Dr Han for several years and find him to be highly skilled, professional and very caring. His prices are reasonable and suitable for families. I've had root canal treatments, crowns, improvements to the appearance of my teeth and other services.

I am 41 and a little fat and lazy, so I know a bit about dentists. I highly recommend Dr Fran who is very technically astute and, more importantly, very gentle and calm. She took the time to explain everything to me in detail putting me at ease even though it would have been difficult to see I was nervous through my tough manly exterior. The whole team including the front desk and their hygienist Lise are a pleasure to deal with.

I was terrified of the dentist after some very bad experiences. I highly recommend Grace as she has been amazing. I'm now over my fear of dental work.

I would like to say that the professionalism and care with which I have been treated at Golden Beach Dental has been excellent. I am a Bupa member, and paid virtually nothing for a root canal treatment recently. Dr Bun Han is excellent in explaining the proceedure, very reassuring, considerate, keeps you updated and informed during the proceedure, uses excellent pain relief and is a very experienced and thorough dentist. I was nervous for root canal therapy and it turned out to be a breeze!

Absolutely outstanding service.My young child had hit his front teeth during a playground accident and within 2 hours the incident the staff had made time to see him.On arrival I was met by 2 amazing receptionists where they comforted my little one prior to being seen by the dentist.Once in the room the dentist was calm and able to look around with any undue effort.Thank you so much to the staff and dentist for your assistance.I highly recommend this business if you need a dentist in the Caloundra area.

Not sure if they just don't take as much care with their public health patients but I had a pretty questionable experience here. I had an excruciating jaw/gum/toothache, one that had kept me awake for several days, and I finally caved to see the dentist. Initially the dentist was unable to identify the problem from visual inspection. When he took an xray he pointed out 'the infection' in one of my molars (I was once a dental assistant myself and can also identify infection from xrays, I saw nothing of the sort in this one). He recommended a tooth extraction or root canal. When I suggested antibiotics might be a more reasonable and conservative option (particularly given I doubted that he had correctly identified the infection) he tried to talk me into the surgical procedures (notwithstanding the fact that anaesthetic will have trouble taking effect in an infection as progressed as mine was, though I'm sure I'd still be charged for its use.) Eventually he signed the antibiotic script and sent me on my way (with a pamphlet for root canal hahaha). The antibiotics were immediately effective and after a couple good nights sleep I was able to identify the infection myself. My gum was black. I had an obvious gum infection that should have been identified as soon as I opened my mouth. Removing my teeth, as suggested by the dentist, would likely have made the problem significantly worse (and of course I would have lost teeth for no good reason). I finished my course of antibiotics (which had to be extended by my GP since the dentist had only provided me with a half dose, which would also have resulted in significant problems). And what do you know, despite the best efforts of this dentist, my gum infection is entirely gone and my gums are now very healthy. But I suppose the dentist doesn't earn any money writing antibiotic scripts to public health patients.

Amazingly fast service, should have left the motor running in the carpark.
