Heritage Resort

Lovely homestyle meals which were reasonably priced. My steak was cooked to perfection. Gracious hosts and a pre- dinner drink at the bar made it a really enjoyable evening.

Ate at the “restaurant” more like a scout hall with a rude host that charges $5 extra for eftpos because he likes cashSpanish mackerel was the size of a whiting fillet for $35

We stayed here after a night after being at Weipa Motel. And would stay here again and again..The Heritage Resort it well priced, friendly service and excellent restaurant with bar, serving breakfast and dinner (really the only place in Weipa serving breakfast)The meals were pub sized meals (huge) and reasonably priced considering the remote location and difficulty with shipping produce up here.The rooms were clean, themed in a heritage style so very unique and the bed was comfortable and huge (King or bigger)Highly recommend..

The heritage resort at Weipa was a good place to stay. The room was a bit dated with strange mix of exotic furniture. It was quiet and comfortable after a long hard day. The staff were the highlight of the stay. Very friendly and helpful with a very lovable character.

Good spot to enjoy a cool beverage and enjoy the sunset. The meals are good quality however I was left wanting more. There is plenty of parking and accessibility for the disabled. The toilets are clean and in good working order. The best part is the large verandah which has plenty of seating.

Great value. Nice pool area and on site Mexican restaurant, Los Amigos. Guest laundry good value but really needs a bit of a spruce up. Helpful management too

Stayed 2 nights while visiting Weipa.Why do they call it a RESORT?It's definitely not a resort!!We had to pay for accommodation by cash only! Would not take card!The unit inside wasn't too bad! Could have been sweept out before we arrived. The bed is only about a foot high off the floor, but it was not too bad.The side door to enter the rooms is absolutely filthy.The hallway between the rooms needs a good cleaning.The outside patios are full of leaves and bark from the trees. The gardens are untidy. The pool area looks ok. We didn't go into the restaurant, so we can't review the restaurant.The position is great, right next to small shopping centre- Woolworths, chemist, dress shop, Cafe (closed), bottle shop and a fantastic bakery.Across the road is a Post Office, offices and Tackle World.Tackle World staff were lovely.This RESORT needs alot of TLC.
