Cheap as Chips

Visiting for a second time since they first opened. Happy to say the store is still clean as it was when first opened. They were beginning to put out new Halloween stock & starting their Xmas stock which was nice to see. Still a huge range of various lines available, also great to seeSome great lines like kmart, cheap $2 items like kmart, exercise equipment & household items like big w & furniture like amart.It's a lovely fresh new store, ( hope it stays that way). Some items were more expensive than I've seen elsewhere. And other items seemed reasonable. Guess it depends what you're after.There were a few things I came across which had no prices, hope that's not a common thing.How to adequately explain this shop... if the reject shop, kmart, big w & amart furniture had a baby together.

Bought a 100L Storage Container through their store portal on Amazon AU. Item was stated as having shipped yet the tracking information never updated from their store. The item never arrived and never left Logan QLD. I would avoid buying and dealing with Cheap As Chips as I paid $46 including shipping for the Container when I bought a replacement from Bunnings Warehouse for $25 instead. Thankfully I received a refund.

Came in today just to have a look at the store, had a great range of items for pretty great prices. But then encountered what I assume was the management rudely speaking to team members as we were leaving the store, was a great experience up until seeing how employees are treated. Didn't even let them explain what they were doing (from what I gathered a young man was helping a young woman with an inquiry call at the front) and I gathered that because I listened! Truly hope this isn't the kind of image you want for your store. All other staff were so respectful and diligent just this one guy being absolutely horrid.

Falsely advertising dvds instore at $5 each then putting some through at different prices. I didn't think you were allowed to do that. Should say FROM $5. That was shortlived, won't be back.

Absolute worst service ever. Not cheap as mentioned in the name. Marked prices are different to what comes up at the counter, so watch out. Hassle trying to explain this to their moody staff. Wish there was 0 stars that I could give.

So I went in the store the other day to check it out as my daughter wanted to apply for a job role here, when all of a sudden an older man with gray hair - to what I assume was the manager - rudely spoke to a young female employee. As I was at the checkout, I couldn't help but overhear the pointless scolding the teenager received (I assume they were training) due to a problem with a register. It seemed hurtful and rude. If this is the kind of workplace or store image that cheap as chips wish to convey, then I would not be visiting here again! and would certainly not want my child to go through that as well!!!#treatpeoplewithkindness

I just wanna know who the short young Asian girl is, she has great service, brought a note book and pen today with a 10/10 experience with her, is there any chance that I could get her name?

I have had a good experience with this store. Friendly staff behind the counter. There are only 3 demographics that the store doesn't cater for (Bookworms (like me), computer gamer's and model builders (again, like me)), but then again, it is almost impossible to cater for everyone. Still it is a good, well laid out store.

When they're and brought a dog jacket it was too big for him and took it back to exchange for a smaller one and spoke to the manager about exchanging it and he refused to exchange he said we don't exchange pet products

Good range of products but definitely NOT cheap as chips! Most prices were a lot higher than most other discount stores - won't be our variety store of choice
