Thought id support local business and ended up over two grand out of pocket for a bed i cant use. i was willing to spend as much as it took to invest in something great that would accommodate my partner and i, and had done a fair amount of research beforehand. Was given poor advice when choosing what i thought would be a brand new quality bed that would last for years. Product was not what i tried in store. The bed that arrived was hard as a rock and was what i could only describe as ULTRA FIRM, when i had told the assistant that we were after a medium firmness. I can only assume we either got a different bed, there was no continuity in firmness or the beds in store had experienced a lot of wear which had softened them. We were both very excited about finally having a great new bed but knew the second we sat on the new bed that it was much much harder. We ended up both waking up in the early hours of the morning in pain. Customer service was non existent and owners said we were silly to take the advice of the sales assistant who told us the bed was the medium firmness of the range"

My partner and I upgraded to a king size with the help of Natalie. Whilst we had some fabric issues and ended up requiring a different fabric and colour we are very happy with our bed base and mattress. The advice was spot on for picking a mattress to suit our needs and Natalie went above and beyond to help us with fabric and also advising us on which thread count sheets were appropriate for me (a hot sleeper). We acknowledge that there were difficulties and issues with the top fabric of our bed base that required fixing, this was done very promptly and at no point were we made to feel like we were being “nuisance customers”. We prefer to support local businesses and would buy again from Sandman. Both Michael and I would like to thank the staff for being professional and kind, and we highly appreciate the effort they put in to make sure we were satisfied with our purchase.

I recently had a small problem with my pillow tops in our mattress and contacted Brett from Sandman. He picked the mattress up promptly and fixed it, and it was all done in one day so we did not have to be without a mattress! This was excellent service and makes me really appreciate buying local and supporting a Geelong family company. I recommend this friendly Geelong company to buy your mattress.

This is a great local store. Friendly, helpful and their beds are high quality. We needed a custom sized base for our California King latex mattress and they built it for a reasonable price. We bought a double bed for our guest room and it is so comfortable. Thank you Sandman - whoever you are!!

Very good advice and product knowledge by sales staff. Price was on a par with the major brands and outlets, and the material and build quality were excellent.Because they manufacture the beds in Geelong we were able to get a custom combination of the base height, leg length and castor / slider size to get the bed height exactly right for my 88 YO mother to allow her to get in and out of bed unassisted and safely.The bed was delivered, and the old one removed (for a reasonable fee) on the day and within the hours agreed.All in all a very good purchasing experience.Oh! and mum loves the bed.

Great staff, great range, great prices. Sleeping for the third night on our new pillow top latex mattress and am so happy with it! $20 delivery locally was also a nice extra!
