Urunga Waters Tourist Park

Had a great experience! Very easy to get into the park and we were well accommodated with our late arrival by having a map left out for us! Amenities are fab with hot showers and lots of social space with a fire. Would definitely come back to this park :)

These other reviews don’t reflect the experience I had with my family and friendsWe weren’t treated like we were welcome with the permanent residents staring at us most the time we were there.The main shower block was OKAY and mostly clean) the other two toilets for unpowered sites were disgusting think port a loo but plumbed in.The recreation area had a smashed tv and no fire wood for the massive fireplace it provided which was our only reprieve from the terrible wind and rain we unfortunately had( not the parks fault lol)The sites are so close to each other that our tarp literally prevented people from booking out next to us as we couldn’t have it as well as fit someone in the next lot .The fisherman are walking up and down the backs of the river often behind your campsite at night time.They were giving my children filthy looks for playing with the water when I guess it was fishing time. They were smoking all day and night and it went into our campsite.The lady who saw us off gave a nasty remark and filthy looks when we put our rubbish in the bin to the point of even questioning what I put in( short lady spikey hair )So what I have to say is this.If you want to be an over 55s caravan park then be that but don’t advertise as a holiday caravan park if you’re going to be so unwelcoming.I will never recommend anyone visits here and was extremely disappointed with the way it made us feel when we were there.ALSO the facebooks wrong there’s no child’s park and don’t think you can ride scooters my friends child got in trouble for that too.( spikey hair lady again). Very reasonable rates, tidy park, right near the water, reasonably clean amenities, and very friendly staff, shout out to Sam, we had a great stay

The young lady that helped me make my booking on the phone was very helpful and friendly, the older lady that arranged my late arrival package was also helpful and friendly . Out site was level , large and had a slab and lovely, grassed and had a pretty view of the water . The camp kitchen was excellent, modern, large , clean and well layed out , the bathroom facilities were always clean and the water pressure was wonderful, though the mixer taps were a bit dodgy and might benefit from some maintenance. The pub and two supermarkets directly across the street were fantastic, the Board walk cafe made lovely Chai lattes and there were lots of other options we didn't try but would be excellent for travellers . Finally , the people and the surrounding natural environment were fantastic , I believe the community were the friendliest place we have ever stayed . We will come again for sure .

Powered site by the river, as it was a wet weekend there was water everywhere as there was no drainage. Don't even bother about the camp kitchen, as this is not maintained there are cobwebs big enough to get stuck in. Could be a great area if there was a little effort put into it. There are no rubbish bins around the park only the dumpster at the front of the park , amenities are very average! Laundry 2 out of 3 washing machines work and 1 out of 3 driers work I would go in town to wash and dry. Pot holes were big enough to loose your caravan in.. Overall It could be the great getaway if only there was a little money was reinvested into park maintenance and update the websites as this advised there were equipment for kids, pet off leash area and non of these were there...Park appeared to be focused on permanent residents rather than campers.

Such helpful service and amazing amenities! Our powered site was right beside the bathrooms which was ideal. The site is super clean and welcoming too :)

Loved this little park! We were cycling up from Sydney and needed a place to stay and they fit us in. Very friendly park owners and permanent residents. Clean ammenities, NO MOSQUITOS, laid-back vibe and right on the river. Great price and has character!

Non powered sites could do with better toilets, but apart from this it was great. We will be back, beautiful spot.

Great park, drive through stayed hitched overnight . Staff pleasant.
