Anna came to our house after number 3 was born. She was a wonderful help and no task was too much for her. She mainly spent time looking after my 2 older children while I focused on my newborn, but also helped out with some household chores, such as laundry and washing the dishes. My toddlers absolutely loved playtime with Anna and were really sad to say goodbye. I would highly recommend this service to anyone recovering at home after giving birth. It would be especially helpful to those with no relatives nearby to help out and those recovering from a c-section.

I was recommended Queensland Cradle Care through my Obstetrician and the on-site Midwife when I mentioned to them that I was concerned that I no longer had a village available, to assist in managing the arrival of my second child following the passing of my mother. I also experienced postpartum complications with the birth of my second child, which resulted in limited energy and strength to not only take care of myself and two children, but also to keep the household running.Anna was an absolute lifesaver! For two and a half weeks she would come around during ‘witching hour’ and would proactively prepare meals, tidy and clean the house, manage laundry, entertain a 3 year old, assist in bedtime routines, and support me in caring for a newborn. She would also send me upstairs for a rest or to take some time to myself, which was such a treat. My highlight was coming downstairs after putting my son to bed and having a cup of tea with Anna and just having some grown up conversation to finish the day.I cannot recommend Anna enough. She is very professional whilst still maintaining a very friendlyand caring approach, often feeling more like a familymember and friend, and she provides that shoulder to lean on when everything seems a bit too much in the early days of bringing home a newborn.Patrina

There is no one more understanding and empathetic about the early post-partum period than Anna. When Anna came into my home I breathed a sigh of relief. She lightened the load and took great care of my baby and I.The early weeks following birth are challenging and lonely and having Anna instil confidence in me and give me some reassurance that I was doing a good job made all the difference.I highly recommend QLD Cradle Care for all mothers and families.

My daughter had her first child and as a grandmother from the north I was able to travel to be in Brisbane to help out. When it came time for me to leave, my daughter engaged Anna to come and provide help & support in the home.Anna is a warm, empathetic, emotionally intelligent woman who made my daughter feel supported and I was able to breathe a sigh of relief that this very capable person would continue to support this new family unit. From a Grateful Grandmother

Anna came to provide care for the first five days after our son was born. As a first-time mum with family overseas, Anna made me feel supported, confident, reassured and relaxed. She arrived in the morning to make me breakfast, change the bed, and provided advice on breastfeeding, taught us how to bath our baby and reassured me during first-week parenting worries. She works proactively, and I would often find a plate of freshly-made fruit salad waiting for me, or the house vacuumed, or laundry folded without the need for asking. She was also very mindful of giving me and my husband space, making herself invisible when needed. Similarly, she would take our baby and send us back to bed after another night with little sleep - what a gift! Having Anna be a part of the first week of our parenting journey has been wonderful and I am forever grateful to her for providing this service and giving new mums the best possible start to their parenting journey.
