The Bodhi Effect

Around 8yrs ago Brooke was recommended to me for being the best in the business for eyebrow threading, and I haven’t needed to look elsewhere since. Along with perfecting the perfect eyebrow, she takes care of my skin, adapting treatments as necessary. Her knowledge, care & expertise is second to none. Her salon is a beautiful & relaxing haven, & staff so warm & welcoming. Now it’s my turn to pass on the recommendation, and do so knowing that anyone who walks through Bodhi’s door, won’t be disappointed.

I have been going to Bodhi for nearly 10 years and can honestly say Brooke is the most beautiful woman. I will never stop coming here, my eyebrows are always perfect and I find full sets of lashes and infills to be very reasonably priced compared to the chains. In the peak of Covid Brooke was on social media putting tutorials up to help us at home and was doing home deliveries of products at no extra cost. She has always gone above and beyond for her clients and puts her heart and soul into her business. I cannot recommend Bodhi enough! Wanting to share some love to this amazing business and Brooke, as it’s sad to see some negative reviews because I’ve never seen Brooke or any of the girls anything other than kind and understanding, think some people forget they are human beings too.

The most horrible beauty therapy experience of my life. Do not go here! I get my eyelashes lifted regularly but just moved to Newcastle and needed to find a new place to get them done. So I got my eyelashes done here and they turned out terribly botched (way too curled back which had never happened before) I went back to the owner and told her that I was unhappy with how they turned out and if there was anything she could do to fix them. She was incredibly rude and nasty to me, and no apology and she told me not to come back for any more treatments (as if I would have). Reading some other reviews below it seems this is quite normal behaviour for her. I ended up just asking for my money back but I never got a full refund; she reluctantly gave me only some of my money back. Complete waste of money and time.

BEST SPRAY TANS IN NEWCASTLE! I have had at least 5+ spray tans from Brooke and they have all turned out beautiful. With the right preparation & after care my tan lasted through vacations & swimming. Brooke creates a custom colour that pairs well with my under tone.

Couldn’t recommend Brooke and her team enough! Since finding Brooke over 4 years ago I will not let anyone else touch my brows. She always does an incredible job on them!!The girls at Bodhi always make you feel welcomed when visiting the salon ☺️

I got my eyelashes tinted and came out with panda eyes. Also had a pedicure which wasn’t great, had to sit awkwardly with my feet in a bucket. And every time I’ve made an appointment I’ve had a wait at least 30minutes until I’m seen. Would not recommend this place.

Brooke has been threading my brows for years and is the best at what she does! I’ve recommended her time and time again because she does such an amazing job and is a lovely person. I’ve had other services done by the team and they have all been professional and so friendly. I feel the pricing reflects the talent, knowledge and skill the team has and have no issues in paying for quality treatments and services. Thanks to Brooke and team, love your work ladies!

I have been a client of Bodhi for 12 Years now and I have never had one bad experience or appointment at the salon. Brooke is an expert within the industry and has a team of professionals working along side her that exude high-quality customer service. The salon itself is calming, inviting and extremely tidy and has various products that are perfect for sensitive skin (like mine). The communication from staff is great and they are all very accomodating when seeking an appointment. I could not recommend this place more highly for all or any beauty needs.

The owner of this salon Brooke is absolutely brilliant!! she does a great job of everything and is very professional and the girls are just lovely and it is always an enjoyable experience attending Bodhi Effect, they use the best products and ensure that you are happy with the service!
