Big River Tavern
Absolutely Beautiful venue. I regret not taking photos of the food as it was delicious. I had the Halumi Burger and it was amazing. The service was great and my husband and I had a really beautiful time. I loved it. We also stayed in the rooms which was beautiful and they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine and some munchies which was a really nice surprise. I thoroughly recommend.

Big River Tavern
We recently revisited for lunch. We have always had lovely meals here so we were so disappointed when the meal we ordered of the lamb salad was just a bowl of capsicum & a lump of minced lamb dumped on top. Unfortunately it’s up there with worst meal we’ve ever been served in a bistro … however the other meal of lambs fry & bacon was excellent, so we’re not sure what happened.

Big River Tavern
The food was not great. I got the lamb salad. It was like eating leftovers, the salad was filled with liquid and the meat was like chewed up lamb slopped ontop of an old salad, not great. There was nothing good about the meal. Really dissapointing.The waiters and bar staff were lovely... at least the staff are nice and helpful. But your kitchen staff need more training or you need a new head chef! Over half our meals on the table were less than average.

Really basic looking dining room but at the same time clean and presentable. As i found out when we rocked up this is actually the golf course as it seems with a few pubs in the riverland. Alot of the country pub menus are actually generally all the same just with different twists maybe. My girlfriend had the beefcheeks and she thought they probably could have been cooked for a little longer as they weren't quite tender enough. I had the salt and pepper squid which was quite nice, about on par with the general pub in the city

I have been here twice during my stay at Berri. I always look forward to exploring food options and places and Big River Tavern did not disappoint. I have shared this place with my friends as one of the best breakfast spots I've been to:1. Great view - check2. Delicious food - check3. Accommodating staff - check4. Indoor AND outdoor seating - checkI thought the best morning drink after a night shift doesn't exist but they got me there too - their vanilla chai is to die for.I'm so glad I came across this gem of a place. Thank you for such great service Big River Tavern.

What a view of the golf course! Absolutely amazing. The food was good, my husband had lamb shank, pity there was no vegetables with it. He was only disappointed that he had ordered one shank and not two! I had the Asian Noodle Salad with grilled chicken tenders, which was light and refreshing. A very enjoyable, relaxing lunch.
