Qantas Insurance

Very unhappy customer, having moved my car insurance over recently. I had a relatively minor accident (other driver at fault) and subsequent claim. QF insurance wasted 5 days of the process by booking my car into a nominated repairer that closed down four years ago! I only found this out by accident from the towing company. Called again just now to be told it may take up to 16 days to have the damage assessed. Appalling service and I'm seriously wondering now why I changed insurers.

I love Qantas even if it drives me insane

I switched my health insurance over about 9 months ago. So far I am really happy with the cover and the service. The extra points is a bonus particularly when paying with a Qantas points credit card!

I am not sure what service they provide in general, but the home content insurance should be reconsidered if you were thinking to buy it.I had an electric part burnt in my dishwasher and they claimed it was general wear and tear and refused my claim. I immediately cancelled my premium but, obviously, it was a waste of money in the end. I went with another insurance and they said they would have definitely approved the claim.General wear and tear implies a gradual loss of function over time. But in my case, electronics just burnt in the machine. Just because it was in the door of the dishwasher, they classified it as wear and tear. It's not like a hook got worn off or the latch got loose. It was an actual part that malfunctioned. By that logic, everything is wear and tear.Like everything Qantas, avoid it if you can.

Totally scam, we switched the health insurance from bupa to this scam company and the team mentioned that the waiting period can be waived as we have the coverage from our orginally insurance. However I called to their staff today, and they told me that I have to wait 12 months waiting period because of their internal policy.I wasnt informed at all and this is a total scam. DO NOT buy any product from them

After using them for my insurance they have more than doubled their premiums this year, this is despite no details changing

If I could give 0 stars I would and that would be too much! Six weeks after the accident Qantas insurance have had the car towed 3 times but still dont have a quote! I have not had one update despite paying over $1500 in excess. When I call to follow up I was lied to and told they had a quote and the matter had been sent to difficult claims dept. The matter had been sent to an assessor but they did not have a quote. At the time of the accident I asked for the car to be towed directly to the repairer it is now being towed to 6 weeks later. But, no they have to go to a holding yard and then and assessor's yard first. In the process it sounds like further damage has been done to the car during the towing process. The worst insurer I have ever dealt with and I deal with insurance claims for a living. DO NOT USE QANTAS IF YOU WANT SERVICE.

Checked their site for a car comprehensive insurance quote.The interface is like budget direct just 'qantasfied'. Asked way too much in the way of personal information for a quote (which isn't risk related but more database profile building for marketing purposes). When you get the quote, the figures like budget direct seem appealing to lure you in to hit the 'continue' button because they don't disclose exactly what that premium covers, that is market value or agreed value and other important information. So you are invariably forced to hit 'continue' button, where they bombard you with more questions of the same nature in the first section but ask you if you own a house or not?!?!? (What's that got to do with car insurance - maybe a sales lead for the home insurance team, so sneaky). So anyway you fill in all the questions with the same answers and the quote jumps up significantly in the last screen. I felt cheated and quickly shut down the screen. Qantas is a airline not an insurance business - be warned this is a scam from a company you should be able to trust. This is my view from the experience I had with their quotation tool. Your time and money is better spent elsewhere. Btw budget direct is exactly the same.

Recently took over the car insurance policy( Third party for one car and comprehensive for another car) and home and contents.Happy with policies and saved a bit of money compared to my previous insurer.Qantas points and bonus qantas points were added to my points balance as stated on purchasing the policies.GREAT.

I have been with Qantas insurance for a few years and have been pretty ok until last year or so . Now it is an unoganized, unprofessional company.Claims don't upload, process takes forever, money is taking two weeks or more to come back into account.You receive your money from us as per your direct debit instructions.. but then we then have to call and chase our rightful payments.this is not good enough. Why I ask.and it reads after claims are updated that it will be paid in 5 working days ???? I would put up picture if it allowed me to
