Wynstan - Blinds Doors Shutters Awnings

We just finished an installation with Wynstan Five Dock this week and the results are superb. From the get go, they were extremely easy to deal with, with Joe coming out and reviewing our options. Ryan did a fantastic job keeping us in the loop for expected installation time and when our blinds were expected to come in. He was extremely quick and efficient, leaving no mess. It has really elevated the feel of our apartment and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone.

5day agoDon’t waste your time or moneyThe guy (Joe) who came to quote in Jan ‘23 was very enthusiastic and persuasive. Assured me screens could be made for my windows, door and replacement screens for my cedar sliding doors. I’d just have to buy some window fixtures which he could fit ( I assume for an extra cost). Insisted on 50% payment on the day. My mistake!! Should have waited for my other quotes first which I normally do. On reflection the following week and further enquires I realised the screens weren’t fit for purpose. I rang advising I’d like to cancel as I knew the screens hadn’t been made yet.“I hear your concerns but Wynstan don’t do refunds “ was the generic answer. I have phoned frequently and emailed with photos and asking for cancellation and a refund, to no avail. Such a waste of time and money. The installation was cancelled twice, at the last moment or without notification.The next installation day arrived April 4th. Took nearly 3 hrs to install the front door screen. Guys were friendly and despite the time did a good job. No idea how to fit the window screens as I suspected would happen. Consequently only had the front door screen installed and paid the remaining 50% on it. Am still out of pocket for the 50% paid in good faith on the other 5 screens. I will continue to seek a refund.I will also contact the office of fair trading and hope everyone else who has issues does the same.Invoice Number : 17031710Store Location: Wynstan Five DockNow June 2023 and after lodging a complaint with fair trade and numerous further phone calls was promised a refund for unsuitable screens. (Tradesman couldn’t fit them!) Thought I could finally end this case, but am yet to see a refund. Totally inefficient service.

Everything ran fairly smoothly with planning, measure up and install over a few months. Looks good, installation seems great. Decided not to go with the motion sensor in the end as awning already has a wind sensor automatically, so price was modified to exclude this. However nobody updated the installer so ended up paying him the original quote. Have been chasing refund ever since. Have contacted them on at least 4 occasions, via phone and email (don’t bother with email, they don’t reply) where I’m always promised this has been escalated to billing’s department and will be attended to asap. Awning was installed Feb 9th. I feel I have no choice but to proceed with Fair Trading. Such a simple thing to rectify yet it feels like I’m just talking to different people all telling me it will get fixed, and it never does. Very disappointing end to what would have been a great service. Can’t fault the installer really as the office should have given him the correct price to charge. But the office seems to be a little unorganised & beginning to seem like they don’t want to refund me the money owed.Edit: order number 17031401Will continue to email their five dock office. Wynstan were fabulous! We’ve used them in the past for screen doors and roller blinds so when we needed plantation shutters for a tricky space, we couldn’t go past them. They custom-made wooden plantation shutters for a large attic window and they look terrific. The whole procedure was very professional from the original quote and measure to the installation by the amazing Ryan. I received regular updates on when the shutters would be ready and installation was incredibly prompt. Wouldn’t go elsewhere …

We are so happy with our roller blinds and curtain. Our installer Ronald was fantastic - his attention to detail and a perfect installation is second to none. All of our interactions with Wynstan Five Dock have been great, we’ll continue to be back in future.

I have now installed many security doors at our places and recommended Wynstan to others. Ann and her team provide a great product while equally providing great service. I would highly recommend Wynstan to all who are thinking of their products.

Wynstan were exceptional from the detailed consultation & quote through to the installation. I had a security screen door & fly screen installed & their products are extremely high quality. Everyone was very professional & brilliant in keeping me updated throughout all stages of the process. A very happy customer!

Terrible quality product. After one year my pleated flyscreen door started playing up, second year it got worse, now after 3 years its almost useless. Playing up as it doesn’t close properly, rough, and requires several tries to shut. The strings have now broken and panels coming off the tracks. Used once or twice a day.Warranty wise they wanted me to pay for call out fee and parts whilst still under their ‘3 year limited warranty’, if not ‘maybe try WD-40’. Read the fine print, full warranty for 12 months only, and after that good luck if it lasts in good working order for much longer.Also when they installed window flyscreen, they damaged my window track (wheel) and now that is hard to close to. Regret trying to go local.

This is the third house we have utilised the products offered by Wynstan ranging from Sydney To the central coast. From plantation shutters, crimsafe screens for doors and windows and general window dressings, Wynstan have it all! All my orders have run to time, never been wrong or delayed. The team from initial inquiry to quoting like Kane and Terry in the central coast to a Chris the installer. The follow up is fabulous. I’m provided with regular updates on the progress of my orders and a flexible team including the fabulous Anne B around installation timings.I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
