Shaver Shop Woden

Shopped at this store a week ago; they had the product I had been looking everywhere for, and on special! and Nick, who served me, was very friendly and efficient :-)

I was served by Matilda in your Woden store who was extremely helpful and informative with my purchase of a water pick.

Impressed to see a shop these days that you can still buy a real razor in (great selection of quality double edge and straight razors). Bought a nice Fatip open comb and some Feather blades didn't have the Muhle open comb I was looking for in stock but was very helpful offering assistance to find through other local stores. Staff are genuinely interested in their traditional shaving products and how theirs compared to others.

Customer service from an older lady was very poor as she was dismissive, rude and showed no remorse at all for her error. I bought an epilator today and Ladies Guard spray. The lady said she would put the spray bottle in my bag at the counter. I returned home with my purchase only to find that she hadn’t put the spray can in the bag. Back in the car again and back to Woden. I arrived at the store and she picked up the bottle and just placed it in my bag. No apology at all. I felt dismissed like I was an annoyance. I explained that I had driven home and had to come all the way back in- at my cost in petrol and my time. At least she could have apologised. I suggested she could perhaps offer some better customer service as it was not my fault. Even a heartfelt apology would have been sufficient. When this didn’t eventuate I suggested she could have thrown another bottle in or something for my trouble. This made the lady extremely annoyed and angry. She commented that “people make mistakes so there”. Yes people do make mistakes but most people also have the personal insight into their mistakes and apologise for it. I work in customer service and her behaviour was appalling. She is a detriment to your business. A little kindness and being humble goes a long way. I read some other reviews of similar treatment by an older lady who I believe is the same lady. I am surprised that you are happy to accept this extremely poor behaviour.EDIT: the lady was called Denise

The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable with their products. Made the overall experience better for myself :)

The staff in Woden ACT are extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the products they sell. I enjoy the quick and efficient service as well.

Last December my husband ( who is disabled and in a scooter) went to Shaver Shop in Woden to buy a replacement Wahl clipper. He brought in a photo of the number on the part and the lady working there told him he had to bring in the entire Wahl unit before she could see if it was available. She was abrupt and acted like she couldn't wait for him to leave. About a week later he returned with the whole unit, and she told him she didn't have it. He asked if he could order it and she said no.We had coffee after and I decided to go in to confirm there was no way to get a replacement as it didn't seem right. She wasn't there. A fellow served me and all he needed was the model number, not the whole unit. He then told me it does get stocked but he couldn't say when, they have to wait for what they're sent. He could let me know when it arrives though. At this point the woman who was rude to my husband came back in the store. I said to Damien who was serving me that was a better option than being told we can't get it. I turned and left the shop and she shouted at me I said we could order it in"

This store has a wide range of products and its prices are very competitive with internet sites, once you factor in postage costs for those overseas sites. Having stores located in Australia is also attractive.

I had a really great experience here when I came in with a warranty issue. The staff were extremely helpful and resolved the problem quickly.
