I’ve been trying to book an accommodation for Moonbah Lake Hut for a week without success. It’s so frustrating! I filled up the form online last Sunday and got an email saying that Brett would contact me soon to confirm my booking. However, it never happened. I sent two emails, called a few times and left two voice messages but he has never replied. I was so excited about having this romantic trip and now I just feel so disappointed. I hope I have opportunity to change this very bad first impression.

Absolutely stunning log cabins. We stayed during the ski season and enjoyed the early morning drive from the hut to the slopes. We stayed in the smaller hut and will spend the extra next time to get the larger river hut.

An awesome place to stay. Quiet, peaceful. The huts are very well constructed, with the underfloor heating making the cold nights very comfortable.It's a great way to disconnect from technology and reconnect with the world around you.My wife and I loved our stay there. Already Planning our next visit back.

We stayed in the gorgeous Lake Hut in winter last year. The Huts are incredibly comfortable and filled with beautiful touches. A mix of luxury and history in a beautiful setting. Wombats, Kangaroos, Deer and of course Max the dog who will keep you company each morning and show you around the property. Can't wait to stay here again!!!!!! Thanks for an amazing stay Brett! :)

After being at the Lake Hut last year, we all couldn't wait to come back and stay in the River Hut this time.Loved being back at Moonbah Huts, the kids were so happy to be re-united with Buster and Brett's hospitality and knowledge of the area is priceless.Once again we woke up to snow and there was nothing better than spending the day by the roaring fire, drinking wine and cooking up a delicious slow cooked meal while the kids explored outside.I can't rave about this place enough.Counting down the days till we come back!

The authenticity of a colonial Australian bush hut set in a picturesque alpine amphitheater full of song birds...metres from the river and positioned right on a lake full of rainbow trout. Does it get any better?

Snowy Mountains Fishing
What a place! This was a treat for my husband and I and we truly had the best time. I cannot stress how warm and inviting the hut is. I was concerned it was going to be freezing as it was -7 in August while we were there but the heated flooring was incredible. The fire was wonderful. We stayed for 2 nights and absolutely loved the peace and quiet and we felt very safe. Would highly recommend to annoying considering going. It’s fantastic!

I was lucky enough to stay for 3 nights in the River Hut with my Aunt and Uncle who were over visiting from Canada. From the first minute being greeted by Brett and Buster and shown down to our hut by the chickens, the fantastic welcome pack (Brett knows his wines!) it was simply wonderful. The hut is beautifully considered with wonderful features - an open wood burning fire, roll top bath, great kitchen, and very comfy beds! The setting could not be beat - a few paces down to a pristine running river full of eager Trout, and the most amazing night sky you will see. Brett was a wonderful host and I can't wait to bring back my family next time!

This was a holiday we will always remember. It was such authentic experience, on the night we stayed started snowing, so we woke up to everything covered in white. The huts are well stocked and has everything you need. We will definitely keep this on the list for places to stay again, we were very lucky with availability. Make sure you book early, it is well worth it! Had more fun here than at The slopes. Thank you so much.
