Love the redevelopment of the wetland area. Great walking track, meeting place facilities and entertainment for kids. Pleased to see the extension of the bird cage but really confused and disappointed about the concreting of the floor. This is not natural for wild animals. A year ago I saw several metal troughs on the floor - what could they be for, I wondered? Last week they were still there! One has water in it, the rest are dry. Is this just a storage area, or what? Very weird. One of the parrots was hopping around on the floor with what looks like a broken wing. Also noticed that one of the deer was limping and has a huge growth on it's upper chest/lower neck area. The other deer does not have this so it's obviously not right. Hope someone is getting veterinarian attention for this animal. It's debatable whether wild animals should be caged but if you are going to do it they should, at the very least, be kept in a habitat as natural to their own as possible and given the proper medical treatment when necessary.I have enjoyed stopping at this spot over the years and love the wetland area but think you could really do better for your animals.Good luck to you all.

What a great spot to have your lunch or a short break to ease the long drive! New public toilet facilities (clean), great covered BBQ area and plenty of seating. Great playground for kids young & old! Not to forget the wetlands walk where you can catch a glimpse at wallabies, emus, black swans, birds and the albino kangaroo!

Nice park with shaded tables and BBQs. Clean public toilets and baby change area.Playground is nice but has limited equipment for young children. Only partially shaded and swings were very hot. Flying fox was good for older kids. Sand and water play would be good if willing to get dirty while traveling.

A great place to stop for a break. Being right next to the Western Hwy it is easily accessed. Do yourself a favour and stretch those legs with a walk around the wetlands to see the animals and birds. There even a playground for the kids
