I really enjoyed my experience with Melanie at Barefaced Bride. I chose a 'gown discovery' booking as I had no idea what I wanted nor what would suit my shape and I really took my time trying on a lot of dresses. Melanie made the whole day incredibly relaxing, working with me to ask what I was interested in and suggesting possible 'wild card' options that would still fit my brief and I ended up choosing one of these wild card options!! I love the whole philosophy of this store and was incredibly stoked to not be contributed to the 'fast fashion' element that is associated with weddings. Thanks again!! Grace x

Thank you to the Barefaced Bridal team,I absolutely love my dress! I had such a great experience with Melanie, firstly she listen to what I wanted in a gown then she shortlisted a few items and I did the same with the great selection of unique items.I then tried them all on and soon it was down to two dresses! Melanie was so patient during the whole time as I took my time deciding and retrying the dresses on and I could tell she genuinely cared that I found the right gown for me. I walked away feeling so relieved I had finally found my wedding dress!Melanie’s store is beautifully presented and she has such a great range of wedding dresses, skirts, and bridal tops that come in all different styles from more bohemian styles to glam.

I bought my bridal top from this shop a few weeks ago. I purchased it online as I’m working FIFO at the moment and need it for an elopement. Mel provided me with all the measurements and was extremely helpful and good with communicating. I love the top and highly recommend the shop as they were so nice and good to deal with.

Mel was fantastic throughout my wedding dress experience - I was engaged over lockdown and had only a few weeks to buy my dress. Mel was great to communicate online and put on hold a dress that I loved. When I went to try it on it didn't work but thankfully found another dress that was simply perfect. My daughter was shattered by the poor experience at Barefaced Bride. We travelled for two hours to get there and even though I had specified that we were looking for a size 16, Mel had to squeeze my daughter into size 12s and 14s, making her feel utterly despondent. I'm sure if you're a model size 8 or 10 you could find something lovely but this is the only boutique that charged for an appointment, no champagne, and certainly no experience". As an aside

I had a great experience with Mel, the owner. They have a beautiful range of dresses at affordable prices and I love how they're ready to buy without months of wait time, not to mention it's good for the environment! At the end I also sold my dresses to Mel and got really fantastic outcomes. Do check them out as some of their dresses are really unique.

My dress shopping experience at the Barefaced Bride was amazing. Mel's space is amazing and intimate, and the fact that I had the whole place to myself helped me relax into the whole process. I had no idea what I wanted going into the appointment but I ended up finding the perfect dress within 40 minutes of walking in the door. Nothing about the experience was rushed or impersonal, and following my purchase Mel gave some wonderful advice of how to care for my dress and pointed me in the direction of a great dry cleaning service. I would highly recommend the Barefaced Bride for their variety, the value, and their care!
