THE KOORALBYN VALLEY
So disapointing that we spent our hard earned money on an Easter weekend 2 night holiday at a resort that had no hot water for the duration of our stay. When I called to query this on the second night I was told to wait and shower later on in the evening when everyone has gone to bed as the resort was full and there was nothing they could do, I was also told as an idea I could have a basin bath, Really? She was very apologetic but honestly!!!! I have paid money for a service that I did not receive. The place is very run down, over half an hour to check in and rooms are dirty and mouldy. And now they have taken an extra $10 off my credit card when they said they would take $1 on check in, so all up, nearly $600 on a weekend away. I would not recommend. On a positive note there is lots of 4x4 adventures, scenic drives and walks and beautiful scenic views in the surrounding areas.

I am undecided about my review for this place. I think that it was probably at one time in history a beautiful thriving resort, but it now stands mostly empty, understaffed and neglected. The staff that are on site and and the local pub are friendly and cheerful. If you do not get a room with a view, don't bother.

We came to play golf and stay a night. Our seniors group from another golf club had a great time. The staff especially Janette (I may have got her name wrong- she worked on Monday night and Tuesday breakfast and lunch 13 and 14 March. She was excellent in all areas of looking after a group of 29.The golf was great. The food was excellent and the cost was very reasonable.Thank you Kooralbyn Valley Resort.,

I had an amazing time going with my family. We got to see so many wild kangaroos and it was nice being able to get away from the city and relax at such a beautiful resort. Breakfast was also amazing and the staff are so friendly! I can't wait to go back again.

I always try to be positive and understanding of issues and difficulties hotels face but while we stayed here, it got harder and harder to do. The photos on their and travel websites are false and misleading. This place is in serious need of maintenance and upkeep. Trees growing out of their roof gutters, no hot water when more guests arrived and gardens overgrown and unmaintained. All their activites are either broken, completely half arsed or missing in action (one staff member even asked us if we knew where the camp fire" was). Restaraunts werent open when they were supposed to be. Generally Staff were pleasant and doing their best in difficult situations (special mention of Christine on front desk who was always happy to help). All in all... this place needs a lot of work and money invested in it and should shutdown for a while to do it. They're living on past glory and rumours of being an olympic village (if it's still standing by then) Would i stay here again?...no way. Do i reccomend? No way not in it's current state and room rates."

Would not recommend. Hotel ran out of hot water for the entire length of our stay which made paying extra for the spa room obsolete. Weren’t offered any discount or refund despite our insistence.Couldn’t use the shower in the evening or morning due to the plumbing issues.I understand these things happen but to not be offered any compensation is another matter. Will certainly not be staying again. There were other issues too generally the place is very run down. Lots of mould in bathrooms , spa jets not working at all in the outdoor area. For the roomwe stayed in, considering the spa was unusable it was very over priced.

Our very recent experience with this hotel is that the reception, golf staff and volunteers along with the locals are exceptionally friendly and helpful but the hotel isn't in good shape.Upon check-in it's very apparent that people aren't considerate with taking up the luggage trolley's and loading them full without being check in or close to ready. This therefore hinders anyone else in being able to settle in and they should wait there turn. The rooms are unusually set up and not enough towels, cups etc were supplied for our family of 4.They are very outdated and in need of some love. The hotel pools were not only green but practically empty and couldn't be swam in. The restaurant on-site was not only very expensive but the breakfast food within the buffet was served cold along with being undercooked for both the eggs and the bacon. We ate elsewhere for most of our trip as we could pay less and get better cooked food that wasn't going to risk giving our family food poisoning. The games room was trashed with no balls for the ping pong table along with the puck for the air hocking missing and no money refunded considering we didn't know it wasn't going to operate. The golf course is good but it's very irritating when people or families from the hotel are allowed to drive aimlessly throughout the course whilst golfers are actually trying to play. There isn't alot for kids to do on-site so it's not a place that I would recommend especially considering how expensive it is. Until the hotel has money spent on it and some care given definitely suggest going elsewhere.

We booked a 2 day Stay & Play package. The resort is very grand and luxurious, but some areas (eg. the building exterior) needs money spent on it. Our room was well set up with good amenities, toiletries and everything you need. There were two comfortable queen beds and a choice of pillows. It was immaculate and very clean and a daily service was carried out. The housekeeping team is doing an excellent job. A maintenance issue was reported and attended to immediately. Lillies Restaurant for breakfast both days & one dinner was excellent. There's a great buffet set up there. The food at Lillies was of a high quality, creative with excellent presentation. Staff were very attentive, especially Janine and the Restaurant manager. We also had one dinner at The Pavillion which offered a basic pub menu. Our food experience at The Pavillion was average but we don't like deep fried food. We found the golf course very challenging and enjoyed it. It was in reasonable repair and presentation. However, some of the fairways didn't have much grass on them, but the greens were good. The timber stairs and railings need maintenance and directional signage needs to be improved to find the next tee. We would go back again and would recommend it.

The accomdation was clean and fresh, bed comfortable, and bathroom with spa was lovely, even if the style is older, it still felt luxurious with some nice touches. We had great views over the golf course from our balcony.Dinner on Christmas night was a traditional smorgasbord and the tables looked beautiful with all the festive decorations. Restaurant staff were friendly and attentive both at dinner and breakfast and the food was great, not too fancy but a great selection and beautifully cooked, so it was suitable for our family of fussy eaters! Thanks especially to Tanya and Janine and chef Wayne! We'd like to come back again and try more of the activities next time. Thank you for a lovely stay!

My boy's and i stayed at Christmas time for a week, we had the best holiday. The room was lovely, clean and had the best spa bath you could imagine. We enjoyed a buffet breakfast each morning and the staff were amazing, going above and beyond for customers. Their bubbly personalities and friendliness made such a great start to the day. The receptionist was amazing too, so warm and welcoming. My boy's were constantly in the reception area buying ice-creams or relaxing on the sofas. The pool's were fantastic, and my boy's enjoyed playing 8 ball, at the Resort and the hotel. Although we didn't play golf, my boy's enjoyed having a hit on the driving range and even better than that was driving the golf buggy around the 14km course. I can't recommend this Resort enough, we will definitely be back. Thankyou so much for a brilliant stay!
