Mavista Picnic Area & Walking Track
The walk was described as easy and flat and 30 mins return. This is true if you stop at the wooden bollards which most likely used to have a sign signalling the end of the track. Beyond the wooden bollards the track is treacherous and muddy and doesn't lead to a waterfall (I assumed 'falls' meant waterfall, it doesn't). This track would be more aptly named a creek, which is beautiful and scenic.

Nice and very easy trail.No necessary need trainers if coming in summer time (I was wearing Birkenstock).Only one way up and same to come back; it’s about 15 to 20 minutes trail.

Great track, be careful of leeches and make sure you stop when you reach the wooden markers.

Lovely and refreshing walk in the forest. Being in nature is so serene, beautiful and refreshing. Come here as part of the day tour to Hastings cave, Tahune airwalk tour.

Mavista Picnic Area & Walking Track
The picnic area has seen better days and there is no table there anymore but the walking track is well maintained and worth it for a scenic stroll to the rainforest/fern area. There are a couple of bench seats to stop at along the way.

Nice short walk up the creek line. You can venture past the bollards but it can get quite muddy

It’s just a nice enough rainforest walk, lots of lovely ferns. The path further on (just after the post marker) gets small and very muddy after rain. Couldn’t even find/ see any sign of a waterfall?

definitely no waterfalls on this walk??? we stayed on the track the whole time. it followed a creek and it was beautiful but we walked at a pretty quick pace for over 30mins and started to get into pretty rugged terrain and never saw a waterfall. the mushrooms, however, were amazing!!

Actual Picnic area is lacking BBQ, toilets and rubbish bins but a great shelter in a lovely little known location. Mavista falls track rapidly degrades but is doable, approx 1.6km one way about 40 mins. Kids had a great adventure.

Mavista Picnic Area & Walking Track
Thoroughly enjoyed this easy bush walk through the lush temperate rainforest. It was also a pleasant break from the strong winds! So much flora and fauna to see, just beautiful.
