A random visit & purchase from a pile of freshly made, pre-wrapped, packet of 4 x small, coconut roti bread's with an accompanying chilli paste, was a great find. That chilli paste is epic! Perfect balance of spice & heat and the roti? Fabulous. Thankyou.

Ordered two rost chicken Dolphin koththu for takeaway on a Thursday night through a phone call .( the girl who answered wasn’t listening properly so had to repeat multiple time) … wasn’t surprised to see that normal roast chicken koththu was prepared . Talked back and hesitated to accept that I ordered dolphin koththu and it was her fault for not listening instead told me that I ordered normal koththu. Didn’t even apologize kept talking back and told that the kitchen was closed .

My go to for fresh made to order roti and dosa. The curries are all very nicely spiced and seasoned, generous servings.The owner is Sri Lankan, and the menu reflects that.

Masala dosa - Sambar and chutney was average and dosa potato filling could have been better. It was all smashed inside like the picture shown below.Thali - Chicken curry was good, received extremely spicy curry without even requesting. The spices were raw. Beetroot fry - This was rather a excellent addition to the thali. Eggplant curry - Not bad.Will try the thali again, of course will instruct my spice tolerance level. I think will have more curry options if dine there. Dosa not recommended.

Fresh rotis, dosas etc. Indian/ Malaysian/ Sri Lankan food. 3 stars cos it could be a bit cleaner. Else in the very casual eat in / takeout space this is very good consistent option.

On our hunt for the best Pan Rolls in Melbourne we stepped in to Hot & Crusty on Blackburn road. Resturant looked and smelled amazing with a mix of Sri Lankan, South Indian, Malaysian and Singaporean food and flavours. We had a couple of fish pan rolls, plate of Vegetarian rice & curry and Chicken Mee Goreng for brunch. Food was good, although the Pan Rolls needs a lot of work to reach perfection. Great place for a quick curry with friendly and fast service.

Simple cuisine but it offers you a good experience of Nakaysian, Singaporean and Sri Lankan food. Their curries are tasty, spicy and unique. Always fresh, got to give it a try.
