Great afternoon tea. The vanilla slice and the German donut great. Beesting was good too but I preferred the German donut more. The famous Ned Kelly pie didn’t disappoint. Overall a tasty experience.

Visited during Christmas break,it was so busy but they have enough staff to serve people. The pastry was so fluffy and light while not too sweet. Also ordered a Zinga Pie , the taste was good but the chicken inside was frozen!!! That is why I gave 4 stars.

Staff are not excited to be working here. I understand it’s Easter Sunday but service was absolutely subpar. The young lady who served us seemed a little distracted and muddled - had to repeat myself so many times. When she packed a lemon meringue tart to go she simply shoved it straight in a paper bag and it smeared the meringue everywhere - half of it was gone. She did provide another one when we asked but it was again hastily packed and some of the meringue was smeared. These delicate pasties should be first placed in a cardboard tray and then put into a larger bag when packed to go. Another pastry we ordered to go also had traces of cream/meringue from some other source.The pastries tasted fine but it was these small drawbacks in service that impacted what could have been a perfectly pleasant afternoon tea in Healesville.

Read rave reviews about the beestings. Went early, however, the beestings weren't ready yet. Decided to try the scone, vegetarian pie and vanilla shake, and all of them are just average tasting. Nothing out of the ordinary. Once the beestings were ready, decide to get my hands on them. And yes, those positive reviews are true. It is soft, jiggly, custardy and perfect amout of sweetness. It was to die for. Decided to bought another for takeaway. I would certainly recommend the beestings.

We visited on Anzac Day at 11:40am and the wait in que to order or buy food was over 45 minutes. Worth the wait though! All hot food was delicious (we tried the pies and sausage rolls) and the sweets are incredible! Don’t go pass the Edna lamington!!!

One of the better pies I’ve had in Australia. Didn’t lack sauce or flavour as I find sometimes pies can be very dry, however not at Beechworth, they ensured that it is packed with everything that makes a good pie. The only thing I can fault is the egg is a bit rubbery in the Ned Kelly.We also had the German donut and it was the right amount of sweet, something we highly recommended with a coffee.
