A very good service. Two men came and cleared my junk they were polite fast and efficient. I am over 70 with a bad back and not able to fill a slip bin by myself. It was cheaper than hiring a skip bin and all the heavy work done for me. I highly recommend Handy Truck Darwin.

Handy Truck really left me in a bind 2 days before my lease ended. I had told them I was in a townhouse with stairs. When the 2 men arrived in the morning, I showed them the property and told them they could park at the front with a ground level slope or at the back which had three steps but was closer to the property. I showed them the items upstairs (bed, chest of drawers, bookshelves (which broke down into 4 sections). And some shelves in the spare room (all of which could’ve broken down if required). The two men then went back to their truck, I thought they were getting trolleys as they didn’t say anything to me. I instead got a call from the office saying that they deemed the job unsafe due to the staircase and have cancelled the job and returned to base. Naturally I questioned this as the items had been moved upstairs by non professionals. They said they would visit approx 10.30 to see why the 2 men had cancelled. At 11 I messaged to see if they were coming and 2 different men arrived at 11.45 to view the property. They didn’t think it was an issue. They said they would call within the hour to see if it could be done. I received no other phone call. As all other moving companies were unavailable, I was left to rally friends to help move last minute as the bond cleaners were coming the next day.I am really disappointed at how this was handled. The 2 men could have moved the ground floor items instead of simply cancelling the job without warning, there was a lounge, tv cabinet, fridge, washing machine, dryer and packed boxes which all could have been moved.They didn’t even talk to me before leaving.Absolute nightmare of a day.
