Have bought more bears than I should but simply can’t resist another one , bought 2 this trip. The staff are fabulous, very helpful. The bears are so beautiful and well made. Have my next one picked out already, this one will be mailed to me. Just love them. Many thanks to all those ladies at Tambo Teddies.

These bears are beyond fabulous. They are a lifetime gift, with a story and a heart from a company that is 100% Aussie. The customer service is also flipping awesome. Just another wonderful outback Queensland success story.

It's a well renowned product but, any deviation from buy&sell (the pure business transaction) is lacking - a reference to other low starred opinions. I've had several emails highlighting a premium product, being sent cattle class (Parcel Post - 2 weeks delivery time!) and not appreciating that the customer experience for a premium product also includes premium delivery - one which the customer can/may actually pay for. Informed I don't know what I'm talking about and the difficulties of doing business in rural areas. I investigated and Tambo has a daily mail run at 1pm though to Toowomba (via Kearneys Spring) by dinner time and then Brisbane (Redbank) that same night by 11pm (apparently, its not technically Express service but, the pub test says it's perfect in every other way). While it is only technically express option available Brisbane (Redbank) to Melb (any suburb!) I'd prefer that my teddy didn't wait at Redbank 4 days (at the time of writing) and again at Melb distribution centre a further 3 days (my assumption) for slow sorting and pay $3 more for Express priority sorting when it arrives at each destination (yes I looked on Aust Post website and called Tambo PO to gain further insight on this situation generally after I was accused of not knowing [I felt it had a 'city slicker' connotation - it hurt). I even suggested Teddies might include Express Post at full cost to the customer (nice that they currently subsidise Parcel Post - the only online option) - now there's a business idea! I might add there is no commercial service (e.g TNT, DHL) I was told - possibly adding to the frustration having received my feedback/criticism. Anyway, I was told Teddies will run their business as they see fit and again that I didn't know everything. (Mmmmm, this is my first ever post as a reviewer, something must have prompted me into sharing my experience - Thank-you on that front.)I wish Alison every success!

The teddies are amazing & the shop is full of them to purchase or blankets & some small souvenirs. However, I had called ahead to find out if it was worth stopping in as I was genuinely interested in how they where made & about the story of the Tambo Teddies. They said there was no tour, but more than happy to show me around when I arrived. When I got there I asked the lady about how they where made & even pointed to the machines stating they looked different from other sewing machines. The lady did answer my questions, but didn't demonstrate or even show me what she was trying to say. She continued to unpack & tell me she was doing customer service today, not making anything. I wouldn't have minded not seeing a full bear being made, but it would have been nice to have been shown something, just a quick demo rather than feeling like I was an inconvenience.

We called in at Tambo Teddies on our recent road trip. The staff were very helpful. I wanted some warm lambswool slippers but my size was not available. A pair of lovely warm slippers were specially made to my size and posted. The slippers arrived a few days after we got back to Melbourne. Thanks

Genuine and honest staff, exceptional craftsmanship and quality. This shop is a little gem! Couldn't recommend a better opportunity to shop locally. Handcrafted teddies that are made to last for generations and an opportunity to support a beautiful community. Win, win!
