Luke Allan Constructions did a brilliant job of renovating a holiday house in Harmer’s Haven into our wonderful home. Luke is an extremely skilled builder We highly recommend him for the following reasons:Luke is a creative thinker, admirable problem solver and impressive communicator. He looked at our plans and was able to offer advice, ideas and options to improve the design by offering solutions to problems that he found in the original plans. We were thankful that on several occasions Luke met with the draftsperson who responsible for the plans. He was able to negotiate essential alterations and effectively rectify issues. His persistence was admirable and gave us peace of mind that all would be resolved.Throughout the construction process, Luke was extremely approachable and was always patient when answering any questions we had. He was very considerate when explaining what was or was not possible within our budget. He collaborated with us effectively on all major decisions when changes were required.Despite our house being renovated during the COVID pandemic, because Luke is an organised, efficient builder, he was on top of ordering materials so that we did not experience major delays. He made sure that we knew his timeline at every stage. He was impressively punctual and consistently ensured a tidy worksite.The quality of Luke’s work is outstanding. Friends and family who come to our home express their admiration for the finish from the innovative use of a new profile Colorbond cladding to the use of new techniques and products on the interior. One of our neighbours is a retired builder who expressed the opinion that “it’s all top quality.” Luke gained the respect of The Bass Coast building inspector who was highly complementary of his work each time he came to the site. Luke also impressed a local cabinet maker who had never worked with him before. Later, John praised him highly to us for the quality of his work and his attention to detail.We chose the right local builder. We had the pleasure of having our beautiful new home constructed by Luke Allan Constructions. Never having built a house before, we were quite apprehensive about the enormity of the undertaking however after speaking with Luke we felt at ease. We knew what we could expect without smoke and mirrors, or hidden costs.Luke’s attention to detail, his experience, knowledge, and problem solving skills were invaluable in lifting the design we imagined off the page and turning it into a real life spectacular house, the best one in our town!Luke in particular was regularly in contact and available for clarifications. He also provided sound advice regarding aspects we were not familiar with. Thanks to the Luke Allan Constructions team we have a beautiful house built to our specifications, at an affordable price and in quick time, despite the difficulties of COVID lockdowns.
