I wish that I had read the reviews about the service department before I took my Vito to Mercedes Wollongong.Initial contact was good and they kindly fitted my car in for me.Downhill from there. I have taken it in on two occasions as they could not resolve the issue in the first 5 days that it was there.It has been back now for another 8 days and they have not even started working on it.How do I know? I have to ring up to find out as there is no communication from them.Are they Mercedes specialists? Do they have the equipment and expertise to diagnose and rectify issues?Trying to speak with a mechanic about what is happening is impossible. I don't expect their receptionist to be able to advise me on mechanical issues just as I don't expect my doctor or dentist's receptionist to. Very, very unhappy but stuck with what is available as I need my car repaired.

I'm very impressed with the service provided by Andrew the Service Manager and his team.My car was due for service and the engine light was on too.I told him I needed my car for work and was scared to drive around with the engine light on.He moved mountains to accommodate me within 2 days of my call even though it was a 2week wait for service booking.I will definitely recommend my family and friends to purchase and service their cars at Wollongong City Motors.

In response to a request for help with a flat tire caused by hiting pot-hole Friday 12th May on Sussex Inlet Road, Wollongong Mercedes took ownership of the problem and provided excellent service as follows : Recovery advice, Towing service to Wollongong Dealership (on a Saturday), provided a loan car for us to reume our travels, located a replacement tire, obtained and fitted the replacement tire following Monday, returned vehicle t o Customer.

Paying for my service (which was delivered on time) I was advised that I needed to book in again to have filters (furl, air &pollen) replaced.Why wasn't this included? I was in the waiting room the whole time, available.Happy to pay for the consumable filters and extra time. Terribly inefficent for the customer. Lucky their servuce busines is based on volume, certinaly not customer centric!Room for improvement MB Wollongong.

I'm NOT HAPPY JAN - I took my SLK 55 AMG in for a service for a std service and to resolve an ERROR MESSAGE that caused the failure of Distronic and other safety features. When I dropped the car off I specifically said I wanted the error message resolved. I asked that if there was a major problem that I was to be contacted before anything was done. I dropped the car off at 9.00am and said they could have it all day. At 4.30 in the afternoon I had still not heard from the service dept. so I called them. I was put thru to the service manager who told me they were still working on the std service. When I asked about the ERROR MESSAGE he said they had not done anything yet, that they would need to recalibrate the radar etc and that it would take an hour or more at a cost of $220per hr. I asked if it would be done today and he said no as it was already past 4.30 and they closed at 5.00. He suggested I leave it overnight. What a joke! They had the car for a whole day and only worked on it at the end of the day and totally failed to address the main reason I took the car there in the first place. Its unlikely I will ever use them again unless absolutely forced to. I am now taking my car to a Sydney MB SpecialistPS: I normally take the car to a prestige/performance mechanic who does a wonderful job at 2/3rd the cost but he could not resolve the ERROR MESSAGE hence why I went to the dealership on this occasion.

Andrew and the team in service are amazing! Were very thorough and kept me updated through the progress. Won’t be taking my car anywhere else, it’s rare to get the level of honesty and professionalism they gave. Highly recommend.
