Lovely town and station. Had a fall on the way back hiking from Mt Macedon. Kirk was attendant and was happy to help provide me additional bandanges and disinfectant. You're a life saver, thanks Kirk!

This train station provides a footbridge for passing through the railroads safely, and a shelter with some benches to allow people to sit down while they are waiting for the next train. Although the station office was not open when I visited the station, the platform was quite clean and the train annoucements were pretty clear. However, I saw that there is only one myki-money top up machine at one side of the platform, so one may need to go to another side of the platform to top up the myki, and then return to the original platform to wait for the train towards Melbourne. This would be a bit inconvenient for the passengers.

The Woodend Children’s Park incorporates a large array of diverse and challenging play equipment. Play experiences cater for children of all ages with the toddler and junior play area being fully fenced. The playground is set in a large open space setting with a scattering of native trees providing shaded areas to sit and play. BBQ shelters are located throughout the park.
