Amazing breakfast options. The breakfast burger and pastrami sandwich hits the spot and their smoothies should always be pimped with granola

We had amazing burgers at the Top Shop. Vegan Beyond Burger with TS and a halloumi burger. They were very good especially the gluten free bun. Also the fries are delicious. Highly recommend!

Open from 6.30am the Top Shop at the top of Carlyle St is a firm favourite with the locals. The menu changes with the seasons. For out of Towners cute merch is also available. Come for coffee and stay for brunch. A wide range of beverages, breakfast bowls, pastries etc. it’s an upmarket cafe with crowded seating so it overflows to the lawn outside where staff can still find you. Average price pp $20 when eating in. Never has a corner store had so much vibe.

Got to be one of the busiest cafes in Byron! Seating is very limited, but customer turnover is fast so you don’t have to wait too long. Ordering is available by QR code or with a waiter. They seem to specialise in burgers as the majority of the menu are rolls/burgers. Not bad, but nothing exceptional with what we ordered. Tried a macca milk (macadamia milk) iced latte for the first time and it was super tasty! Great service too.

Great staff and the best coffee in Byron Bay. Brownie was nice too. Good parking but clearly a lot of folk walk to Top Shop.

Such a lovely little gem in Byron. Was in the area for a wedding and got recommended this place from a friend and it did not disappoint! Cool decor, lovely staff and fast service, this little shop pumped out the goods in no time! It was reasonably busy when we were there (a Sunday morning), but food still came out within 10 minutes! Food was everything you wanted and more - the perfect little breakfast sandwich bite from me. Only criticism is that it probably was a little expensive for what is was, but it was delicious so nothing worth losing a star over :) Took some great photos for my food instagram account @b.n.eats as well!

I've only ever ordered coffee from The Top Shop, and I can confirm that it is consistently a quality coffee. The venue itself is always busy, and perhaps too crowded around the ordering and waiting areas. This is due to the venue being a converted one.(When I was young, this was a corner shop, which itself was a residence!). It seems this layout is yet to be fully converted to a true hospitality venue. However, this brings some charm, at the cost of the aforementioned crowds.Service is friendly (for Byron Bay standards), and the coffee delivery time was fast given the quantity of orders. An iced latte was $5.50.

We went twice during our vacation in Byron. The first day we had to wait 45 minutes for food and you have to walk a bit out of Byron centre to get there, but honestly it was one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. The food was extremely delicious, I had the chocolate banana muffin and the halloumi burger and they were the best!! Unforgettable food, so much so that we had to go back again before our trip back to Sydney, and the food was much faster the second time. Also the staff is adorable, the very young and blonde girl is so sweet but everyone was very nice and friendly. See you soon next time we are in Byron x
