Just an excellent place to go camping. Plenty of room, nice shady areas and a place to swim. Also got a pit toilet just up the hill.

Turon Crossing Reserve
Off the beaten track (very beaten) 4wd only, but thats what make it great only the real adventurous types make the run and camp, heaps of free camp spots, 4-5 drop box dunnies for the ladies along the track, fires OK, heaps of wild life and birds singing to wake upto even with a hangover, water level is fairly low and must pack your own for drinking . Heaps of beautiful spots to enjoy, all very different plus the chance of getting gold fossicking or panning. Track is very rough with very steep drop offs (no guard railing) take it slow and take it all in, plenty of history here with many gold rush man-made mine caves to explore (if your keen) also police did visit and breath test some 4wd drivers due to history of accidents on the mountain.

Stunning area to camp with a really good drop toilet -just make sure you close the lid!Clean Up after yourself and don't throw glass or metal in the fire.

This is the first camping area to come to when driving from Hill End. Good flat areas to park a caravan or pitch a tent alongside the Turon River. A small toilet block is located on the western side of the reserve which has a disabled toilet. Bring tour own toilet paper as there will be none here. There are no rubbish bins at this reserve so you will need to take your rubbish back out when you leave.
